"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

That's not exactly true. Although it became more common for fans to refer to him as the King of Pop in the 90s, there were already articles calling him the King of Pop back in 1984:

Well, I stand corrected on a technical level, but 'King of Pop' is more of a an informal descriptor - used independently by a few journalists. 'THE King of Pop' became his official title in the 90s after he was formally "dubbed" as such by Dame Elizabeth Taylor on April 12, 1989 at the Soul Train Awards. The point is, I don't think any fans were holding up 'King of Pop' signs during the Bad tour because of a few obscure headlines, but I'll eat my words if you can prove me wrong! :)

What would everyone think of them using Jaafar to finish off an unreleased MJ track, to be released with the biopic?

I'm really happy to see that many content creators are talking about the biopic positively. These are people who don't make content focused on Michael, so it's really great to see them praising it! I feel like the movie will be a huge success and that people will discover (or rediscover) Michael. To break through like this after decades... what a legend!

The cover of the film should have been a unique and only photo from the Grammy awards 1984. Since it concretize the successful career of MJ (at that time) from the Jacksons 5 to Thriller.

Something like this.

I've been thinking, if right now the plan is to completely skip the 1993 allegations and only cover the 2005 trial, wouldn't it be worth trying to contact Jordan and June Chandler and see if they might actually agree to have their story told in the biopic? What if the Estate could get them to sign an agreement authorizing their portrayal in the movie in exchange for a reasonable payment for the rights to their story? It would hit pretty hard if they could end the movie with a text saying, "This movie was authorized by Jordan Chandler and June Chandler."

Considering that Carol LaMere said she witnessed Jordan calling Michael crying about what his father was doing, and there was also a girl who said that adult Jordan Chandler told her he liked her Michael Jackson shirt, and Jordan Chandler has fought every attempt to make him testify against Michael... it's not impossible that Jordan might agree to let the real story be told if there was a way for him to do it without getting sued and losing his money. Also, when you read June's 2005 testimony, she never said anything that was that bad, she didn't seem to be out to get Michael. It would be understandable if she went along with it because she was afraid to lose her son. Evan Chandler was the main mastermind of the allegations, so it's not like it would show Jordan or June in a bad light. The Evan tapes even make June and Jordan appear like Evan's victims just as much as Michael:

Evan Chandler: "I don't ever want anything to do with June anymore because June is not part of my family. In my mind, she's died. I don't ever want to talk to her again. [tape irregularity] sitting on the stand being totally humiliated or at the end of a shotgun. That's the only way I want to see June now."

Evan Chandler: "My instructions were to kill and destroy [tape irregularity], I'm telling you. I mean, and by killing and destroying, I'm going to torture them, Dave. Because that's what June has done to me. She has tortured me –"

Evan Chandler: "I will get everything I want, and they will be totally -- they will be destroyed forever. They will be destroyed. June is gonna lose Jordy. She will have no right to ever see him again. Michael's career will be over."
Dave Schwartz: "And does that help Jordy?"
Evan Chandler: "It's irrelevant to me."

Dave Schwartz: "Do you think Jordy hates you?"
Evan Chandler: "If he doesn't, he's gonna hate me tomorrow."
Dave Schwartz: "Yeah. And why do you think he hates you now?"
Evan Chandler:
"I said I think he'll -- I said he may or may not hate me now -- but he'll definitely hate me tomorrow. He'll hate me, why? Because I'm taking Michael away from him. That's why."

It would be great but look at Cascio family, Robson family, Safechuck family, Geragos, Oprah etc. You couldn't trust anyone when big money is involved.
We'll never know if the Estate never tries to talk to them. If they intend to hurt Michael some more, it's gonna happen whether or not the Estate tries to reach out to them, so really they would have nothing to lose. If there's a chance, however small it is, that they might want to clear Michael's name, then it's worth trying.

Y'all dreaming too much. It hasn't happened . It won't happen. Jordan is enjoying his millions. The estate isn't known for being the most ethical. Can't even keep up MJ's producers together and happy.

The fact of the matter is that he can't speak, because of the settlement agreement. The question is, would he if he could? The biopic might be a safe opportunity for him to let the truth be known if he wants it to be known. The only way to know is if the Estate reaches out to him and asks him.

what a delusional post

Hot take but the poster is not that bad. It’s actually pretty stylish.

The main flaw is the weird Party City version of the Beat It outfit. Jaafar just looks… strange sometimes.

I think we have to be realistic about the questionable types of people MJ chose as his surrogate families. If June and Dave could sink that low, they were JCs examples growing up. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if JC wanted more money. If JC had any decency in him, he would have attempted to clear up the narrative during the trial or at the very least when MJ passed. ( I do sometimes wonder if he threatened to and if that's what led to EC suicide). Also, however much he may dislike his parents for what happened, they are still his parents, and children typically would feel some kind of way about publicly shaming their parents, I think it's far more complicated than we realise.

Fans clinging on to the hope that Jordy will eventually come out and proclaim MJ’s innocence and that everything was a lie is just not gonna happen.

He’s had decades to come clean yet has stayed silent. He’s watched MJ go through hell from a distance not giving one **** and enjoying his money like others have said.

For all we know, he might still believe he is guilty and at the end of the day, he’s the one who was there. He’s spent years staying incognito and this won’t change.

Time to drop it .

??? Why would Jordan Chandler believe that he is or is not guilty? If there's anyone who knows for a fact that Michael didn't abuse him, it's Jordan Chandler. Or are you trying to say that you believe Michael might have actually abused him?

Jordan accused him so he must believe he’s guilty , right? Regardless of the input of Evan etc , it’s Chandler himself who has all the eggs in his basket.

The narrative that he will suddenly appear and proclaim that everything was lies is a pipe dream.

What I don't understand is why there still is no decent documentary countering Michael's allegations.. There are nice attempts but there (unfortunately) must be production value and big names attached

Like, there must be well respected journalists out there that totally annihiliate that Dan Reed crap..? That can show how Martin Bashir operated..?

And The Estate prefers a biopic over a documentary too.. But a biopic is something very different than the real deal
