The Official 'Michael' Bio-Pic Thread

I have a friend who is slowly dying from a brain tumor.

We found out two years ago. Since then, he's been under medical supervision, of course.

But that didn't stop him from going out with friends, etc.

Three years ago, we promised each other we'd go to the movies to see "Michael."

But for the past two weeks, he's been bedridden, paralyzed in one leg, and on morphine. Palliative care will be next.
The end is near.
Just three weeks ago, he was doing well, and we had plans to go see the movie, meet up with other friends—in short, I wanted him to enjoy life as much as possible.
Life is truly cruel sometimes.

Sorry, beltrano (as you’re my favourite poster 😉) but I agree with innuendo on this.

The film is doing ANAZIMG numbers but, it’s run is coming to an end in most major territories (unless someone can tell me otherwise), and the numbers will slow right down.

June will give the film a boost, when it opens in Japan. 👍 But not enough, from what I hear, to get near 1 billion total.

Given the long run, and relative lack of competition that Bo Rap had (not to mention all out media support!), MICHAEL would have smashed 1 billion, for sure.

As it is, I think $650-700 million will be fantastic. 💪
time will tell

I have a question for those who saw the movie in other languages than English: how in the world did they handle the word "doo-doo head"? :ROFLMAO: Did they attempt to translate it?
i saw it in english but there was norwegian subtitles i remember they did translate it but i cant remember how they did it

So sorry to hear this. 😢😢

I was told, only in February, that I have an incurable (but, hopefully, treatable) stage 4 lymphoma cancer. The shock of being told that has turned mine and my wife’s lives upside down.

Reading your post puts into perspective how some other people have it even worse.

You’re both in my prayers.

BR $290M worldwide by end of weekend 2.

Does anyone know how Bo Rap managed to have such a long run at the theatres?

I mean. I’ve heard it didn’t coincide with too much competition but, even so, month after month of being available in cinemas is very unusual, as far as I know.
