I returned from my holiday this morning: Reuniting with a very dear friend in 20 years We know each other since school days, but my friend and her family (parents and one brother) moved back to Andalusia / Spain when we were finished with school education.
So thankful and happy to see her again ... our friendship is still the same, maybe even deeper now, because we both had some very hard years in the past.

And yes, I did swim in the Mediterranean Sea LOVED it!!!! The locals called me "loco" (crazy) though

This year for Christmas my idea is to write some cards with interesting/deep questions to talk about with my family. The main reason is, last year my mom cooked a duck for Christmas and... let's say it wasn't really successful and we talked like 1,5 days about this duck and I was slowly but surely going insane .

So, now I let ChatGPT give me some ideas and I realise most of the questions are very deep and interesting but I think it wouldn't work with my family because many of them couldn't answer the questions...you know what I mean? I think we often talk about the weather and funny neighbours with our families, but not about interesting topics that really connect us.

Example: "Which of your characteristics are truly yours – and which have you only adopted to fit in?"

So now I am confused if I should choose questions like this, because the answer would probably just be: "I don't understand, I don't know?!" Should I try?

OMG, talking about a merry Christmas This question is perfect to CREATE family drama if it doesn´t happen naturally in your family over CHristmas I love the question, though

You know, I think it actually is a good idea to prepare for Christmas conversation, or in general, to think about what questions to ask family members in order to get closer / foster a good relationship

Now that I returned from Spain, I just realized Germany is in full Christmas mode I kinda pushed the thought of Christmas, gift buying and all the drama that is the holiday season aside
Also the fact that I have to sing Bach´s Weihnachtsoratorium / Christmas Oratorio with the choir in 4 weeks, and I still have to learn part V (and refresh the whole darn thing, basically)

Aaaaaargh!!!! For almost 3 weeks I forgot that LEAFBLOWERS exist (not many leaves in Andalusia). Until JUST NOW
Who even invented this? Who thought it was a good idea to think of tree leaves as waste that needs to be removed and replace them with NOISE ??

Yeah, I chose the questions carefully . We never really have any drama, but I would like to have deeper conversations than talking about dead, dry ducks. Nice alliteration .
