The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

I just hope we aren't doing ourselves a disservice, Lol. Cos when the Xscape album came out, alot of us had no one to blame but ourselves when we heard/had already downloaded some of those songs when they leaked..but at least we got them in good quality. However, I highly doubt that will happen in this situation. So, imma enjoy the goodies! 🫠💕🎶🎧

Honestly most of the stuff leaked was not in a releasable state anyway lol

Overall, I think most of what has leaked is pretty underwhelming.

But I disagree with the notion that it's unreleasable. MJ's catalogue should be treated with expansive archival releases, which lends plenty of room to something like Brad Loop or the Give Into Me work tape.

Bill Bottrell:

We intended to do a live-in-studio recording of "Give In To Me". Michael's idea. To get that feel.
You can hear the drum loop from GITM only faster,
This section is from the lengthy live recording for that, and we just started messing around, then slowly morphed into GITM, later on the same recording. Many have heard the leak of that section.

MJ wanted to make a master with just the 2 of us and release it that way.

I LOVED the idea but couldn't help but think "If we do this so boldly, I bet it will never go on the album".

So, I often regret it, but I kept building the GITM track, then MJ called Slash, and we added him, and so eventually we both agreed on the "produced" version.

I do agree with this sentiment that this unfinished stuff should be released as bonus material on boxsets made for the fans
