Hello! I am not sure if somebody already asked or discussed that, but: anyone planning to go? What is going to be there besides the international premier, how do you think?

Currently considering it, but waiting to see if there are any other shows or concerts on that weekend first.

I am also thinking about it, mainly because I will probably not be able to watch the movie on April 23rd, would have to wait like a week longer 🥲.

I can go there, I have a vacation, but I would like more information about the program

I suppose they'll do many things before or after the premier, so I booked a hostel from 8th to 12th 😆

Oh, well, watching it 2 weeks before the premiere sounds good, to me as well, the only question how they will manage it in Berlin, cause I am sure that not many will get tickets to the main venue where they'll show the biopic, and where the cast may appear. At least I think so :)

I hope the program will be huge! I work remotely, but I might need a vacation too since there might be many events, and I am planning to go from 8th to 12th (Berlin is pretty close to me)

We'll see ... I hope there will be more information soon. A friend of mine lives in Berlin, so I could sleep at her apartment. But she doesn't know if she has time there yet, so... I really don't know if I will go or not 😅

Waiting for the info too! But since Berlin is close and hostel weren’t very expensive, I decided that regardless what it will be there I’ll go, at least to be there for the one of the biggest Michael events. Plus there will be many fans, I’d love to meet the MJ fam :)

So, anyway you still have time to decide!

Still hope there will be several other events and premiers of the movie like in London or LA , would be great for some really big stars to attend the red carpet event etc

They will do a tour I guess to the major cities, it would be strange if they did it in Berlin only. But a possibility to watch the biopic 2 weeks before the theatres will start issss exiting!

With the upcoming release of the Michael Jackson biopic, Michael, a wave of classic re-releases is forming part of the broader promotional campaign surrounding the film. The biopic, directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Jaafar Jackson as the King of Pop, is scheduled for a global theatrical release in April 2026.

In Germany on April 23, 2026, two official re-releases have been announced to coincide with the renewed attention on Michael Jackson’s life and career:

  • Moonwalker will be re-released as a limited Mediabook edition including both Blu-ray and DVD formats.
  • Michael Jackson’s This Is It will also be re-issued on Blu-ray, giving fans another opportunity to experience the rehearsal documentary that captured Jackson preparing for his planned comeback concerts.
These titles appear to be just the beginning of a larger wave of catalogue reissues and collector’s editions tied to the biopic’s promotional cycle. In addition to film re-releases, new products connected to the movie, such as special editions, music compilations, and exclusive merchandise, are also expected to roll out. Altogether, this campaign reflects a coordinated effort to celebrate Michael Jackson’s artistic legacy across both film and music in the lead-up to the biopic’s release.
