I might have a few clippings about Decade but I don't recall Bryan being mentioned. What was said? Maybe I have a cliphm. does anyone have any of the newspapers where bryan leaked info about decade/dangerous to the press sometime in 1990? its been a longstanding rumor

its been awhile since ive chased the rumor. it couldve been something bryan said in an off post, but i also think it may have been a tweet by bill? its been repeated by fans a lot over the years. basically, michael got pissed off bryan said too much to the press about the album. i think the speculation ends up being more on "and thats why his songs started dropping off the whiteboard." ill look through bills tweets and old blogposts laterI might have a few clippings about Decade but I don't recall Bryan being mentioned. What was said? Maybe I have a clip
not sure. too much, apparentlyWhat kind of info did he supposedly leak?
I’m surprised he never came up with an idea for a Sunset Driver/Speed Demon mashup.
I'd love to have Dream Away but those last few lines of the chorus go on a bit too long and it gets clunky. Still a gorgeous song, mind.
I think "Coco Butter" is an alternate title for "Butter Funk", there were a handful of songs listed in the bedroom notes which were worded slightly differently than their actual titles such as "I Was The Loser" being titled "The Loser", "The Way You Love Me" as "Ways You Love Me", etc. so I believe "Coco Butter"/"Butter Funk" was another of those. Damien confirmed that "Butter Funk" is an instrumental.Do we know if "Coco Butter" is circulating?
Btw, what do we know about the song? Is it an instrumental?

Good for them, I guess. What a catalog (even excluding MJ's work).![]()
Quincy Jones' Estate Sells Catalog, Including Stake in Michael Jackson Classics
HarbourView Equity Partners has acquired Quincy Jones' catalogue, including his stake in Michael Jackson's 'Thriller,' 'Bad,' and 'Off the Wall.'www.rollingstone.com
Didn’t know where to put this…
Reading over this it does seem like this could now allow MJ estate to publish some unreleased songs he worked on, not that I care since it’s like all already heard but yeah. Specifics aren’t really mentioned but it does seem to be on the table.![]()

There could be some songs that the estate could release now.Reading over this it does seem like this could now allow MJ estate to publish some unreleased songs he worked on now, not that I care since it’s like all already heard but yeah. I got the opposite impression. The Estate wasn’t involved at all.Reading over this it does seem like this could now allow MJ estate to publish some unreleased songs he worked on, not that I care since it’s like all already heard but yeah. It doesn’t matter if the MJ estate is involved. Unless I’m mistaken the issue was that the QJ estate wouldn’t allow the MJ estate to publish songs QJ had worked on. Since those QJ rights are held by a different entity, this could now mean those might can be allowed, assuming this company is interested in it.I got the opposite impression. The Estate wasn’t involved at all.
Thing is, HarborView sounds like a company that doesn't exactly share the same views Quincy has. So it's possible that they could be easier to work with. Hell, best case scenario: the unknown cuts from OTW and Thriller could be released (if the former exists which seems to be likely given copyright registrations exist for a few songs).I got the opposite impression. The Estate wasn’t involved at all.
