I love the book, but Peter Pan is not someone MJ should have been comparing himself to - at all. Reading the book as an adult completely soured me on that whole outlook.

I didn't read the book but my impression is that Peter Pan was mischievous rather than evil ..?

Michael really liked it when kids behaved a little mischievous too, which is another thing that people don't fully seem to realise; the extortionists weren't shy, anxious, introvert, easy to manipulate kids either in any way: quite the opposite..
