The Official 'Michael' Bio-Pic Thread

I think it confirms the rumor that the original movie started with the '93 Neverland raid and that his life story up until that point would be told through Michael giving a deposition (the mentioned 25-minutes of voiceover) or something like that.
This isn’t a rumor

TOTAL INSANITY overseas with actuals almost 6M higher for KING OF POP #MichaelJackson’s biopic #Michael, beating #TheIntouchables’ 426.6M run as #10 highest grossing biopic at Global #BoxOffice!SPECTACULAR 86.1M overseas on 2nd weekend (vs #Oppenheimer’s 77.1M, #DunePartTwo’s 82.1M, #TheBatman’s 68.7M, #BohemianRhapsody’s 63.1M), just a -29.2% drop from opening, for a 246.1M intl. cume over 82 markets, with #Korea & #Japan yet to join.
Allied to its 184.3M cume in the U.S., the biopic with a 200M production price tag not including marketing hits a 430.4M global cume (vs #BohemianRhapsody’s 285M at same point)TONIGHT, it will beat #TheGreatestShowman’ 435M Global run as #9 highest grossing biopic EVER 500M+ coming this weekend already!
700M+ locked! Eyeing a 800M-1B depending until we see how upcoming SUMMER releases and loss of IMAX affect its legs and MORE IMPORTANTLY on how comparable to #BohemianRhapsody its performances in #Korea (where BohRhap grossed 74M) & #Japan (where BohRhap grossed 115) end up being.

Just checked the last showing for tonight in the biggest cinema near me (bank holiday in Ireland)

Wow - my account is still active! Not sure I have been here in 15 years!
Yet to see the movie, but my instagram is overrun with MJ content now - honestly not given much thought to MJ stuff for a long time now, but I've really enjoyed seeing all the old footage again, and actually even though I thought I had seen it all, I am seeing so much I hadn't seen.

Anyway, keen to see the movie - hoping to see it this weekend.

:) Only Paris can answer that. Paris was orpahnned at 11 or 12 and went through a lot. Don't you think it's totally normal even if she resented Mike a little? We all have problems with our parents. Don't assume the worst.

Sugarcoating is something you somewhat agree with too, when you say he's shown in a v positive light. Michael was human and had his flaws but hey! He was picked apart so much in life, his biopic need not do it too! Mike's been gone for so long, let his fans enjoy a sugarcoated biopic where he still brings the world together 17 years later!

Anyway, I'm still laughing at this:
It's so nice to see an active MJ space everywhere I look, after so long.
This shirt is coming from the estate

Maybe Paris was seeing in the last years things like this

You really like posting speculative nonsense, don’t you?

Why would Paris want something in the film that may or may not have happened decades after the film ends?

Even if that happened, you really think Michael would do such a thing in front of his young, impressionable children?

You really don’t know him do you?

Im very Confident now to say that Janet doesn’t want to be in the movie because of the Jermaine / Randy thing and she is very close to Randy

Did u see the movie!? Did u read the book!?

The Randy / Jermaine thing was 30 years ago. Randy is no angel either. Janet has no problem with Jermaine and all 3 worked together in the Grannynapping, trying to overthrow the estate. That Alejandra thing is old news.

What happened then that Randy isn’t anymore there!? Even in the last family dinner I’m thinking Randy wasn’t there.

Ps: don’t forget Jaafar is the product of this issue

What movie? Who’s book?
Then you should inform yourself before judging me. This film is about the last two years of Michael's life. Bill White, his bodyguard (this is the only truly disturbing scene in the film where Michael looks a bit bad), shows in this film, based on his book, how intensely Michael was shielded during those two years and what he had to endure, especially dealing with the paparazzi They tried to bribe the bodyguards with money and everything, and how Michael desperately tried to find a decent house after Neverland.I find that the film's content brings one closer to Michael than a superficial biopic.

You would.

By the way you can see the damage of the Randy accident on the gates (so this story is real shit)

If you ram a van into those gates, I think the damage would be greater than that very specific frame in the middle that looks like someone tried to break the lock 🤷

YEs, that would be awsome, thank you.
You can't forget the monkey in Michael 2 to be coherent with the 1st one because he has such a prominent part - sorry, I didn't write that one movie.
That monkey story absolutely needs some closure in Michael 3.

Opening scene, Michael 3 :
Flasforward after MJ s death : Latoya, played by herself, visits Bubbles, she gives him a photograph of MJ. The viewer understand Bubbles recognizes him.
Now transition, return to some 2000's, some forensic experts take photographs of MJ intimate parts. background music : Monkey Business.

That s the movie most people wants to see.
Yeah, and if Paris doesn’t sign on, we’ll just pretend MJ suddenly has two kids, right?

i'm going back friday night in IMAX at
9:30 PM.

I was trying to convince myself, and my wife, that I could double mask and choose a quiet showing of MICHAEL, so as to minimise infection risks.
She kindly smiled and replied “remember what the doctor said…”

I of course know she’s right. Still disappointed that I won’t get to see it in IMAX. I just know it’s not going to be the same experience on Amazon Prime 🤷‍♂️

Go have a blast, beltrano 👍👌

thank you for the reply. yeah, I get that only Paris can answer it, but she really shouldn't say such ambiguous things because the haters have latched on to what she said....... and I'm just unfortunately a really nosey person so I wanna know x.x it's bad how nosey i am sometimes lol

I like that the movie showed him in a positive light because, yeah, he's gotten a lot of bad press for decades, so I thought "....why would she be unhappy about her dad being portrayed in a positive light?" unless she's referring to someone or something else in the movie and not her dad himself.

yeah, it's like michaelmania is back! :D
