The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

Not confirmed but I just stumbled upon this info, apparently the 1985 demo of "Dirty Diana" is identical to the final version. I guess it's similar to the 1985 demo of "Smooth Criminal" in a way that it pretty much sounds the same as the final song but with some mumbling.
This is what Damien wrote about the 1985 tape

Other than it being less polished, there's no noteworthy difference. The arrangement is locked in. Ad libs are all there. Falsetto at the end. My notes say: "Quincy had no influence on this - it's done." Same with Dirty Diana. On Dirty Diana, MJ even sings the guitar solo.

Remember What I Told You is the only song (so far) that get's played for me, and I'm not expecting any other of the barely touched unreleased demos to rock my world.

I hope to be proven wrong!
That one I actually forgot all about. It truly is different strokes for different folks lol.

I definitely wish we had gotten the 11th album tho.

Thanks for the help, but the info is already on the tracker. Appreciate though

Neverland Landing, Get Your Weight Off Me and *drum roll* World of Candy are the ones I play most

Had no idea this was already known info, thanks!

I'm pretty curious to hear how the 1983 demo sounds like on the other hand, it's pretty fascinating that there's a version which dates as early back as the Thriller era. 1983 was just an insane year for MJ's music.

Brian Malouf says he did cut 14 tracks with Michael between 1983 and 1985. According to him, most of them made it on to the Bad album.

I think the highest quality we have right now is the youtube rip from Korgnex’s livestream. Would be dope if he finally shared his file since the song has been out for so long anyway.
Yeah, that is probably the highest one. Although I'm grateful for the share, I still find it a bit of an ear disturbance listening to the file loudl because of the distortion

@ueli84 Are you able to confirm if these are the real lyrics from "Michael's Affirmation"?
You are now going to enjoy a relaxing and satisfying state of relaxation
Your entire body and each part of it is relaxed
Relax, I am completely relaxed
And I feel wonderful
I feel fine

I am happy because every day and every way I feel better and better
Every day and every way I am better and better
I am happy every day and every way I feel better and better
I am happy
I am joyous
I am in bliss

And I am moving because I am happy
I am moving because I am happy, relaxed
I am completely relaxed
And I feel wonderful
I feel fine

I am happy because every day and every way I feel better and better
Every day in every way I am better and better
I'm happy, I'm joyous, I am in bliss
I move my body, in any position, I desire
I am joyous, I am happy
Because I am free to move about as I wish
As I desire, as I please

Every day and every way I feel better and better
I am love
The world loves me
I love the world
Love is very important

I am happy, my entire body is pure
I am healthy
I feel fine
I feel wonderful
I feel wonderful

Today and every day in every way I feel wonderful
I'm moving about because I am happy
I am happy I can do whatever I please
Every day and every way I feel better and better

This Is Michael Jackson

This debate about songs having lyrics or what-not is funny because if you're a foreigner I imagine that a mumbled song and a finished one is essentially gonna sound the same lmao. I have a decent understanding of English but even then I have trouble making up MJ lyrics half the times, MJ might as well be mumbling in some songs even though he's definitely saying intelligible words lol

And they all have vocals of some sorts supposedly. One of them was Abortion Papers, which he recorded in 1983

Turnin’ Me Off is the best example. It has lyrics in almost all the verses but you can barely tell if it’s scatting or lyrics

But then he has not specified what titles made the cut.

Michael cut around 70 songs in total for the Bad album if I recall right. And he selected the ones he thought were best, regardless when they were recorded. Most of the writing & pre-production was recorded with Matt Forger & Bill Bottrell.
