He was a good man who did the best he knew how given all he was working with/against.
He had to undergo things in a game that no one sitting in the bleechers could ever comprehend.
I agree. It is very easy to judge from the sidelines.

No but he let his children down. He should have never done something that was potentially life threatening when he was a parent.
How can he let his children down if he were doing the concerts BECAUSE of them, if he was working so hard and trying his best BECAUSE of them???
Also, Kenny Ortega even mentioned on how happy Michael was to perform for his children and how EXCITED he was looking forward to doing so.
Michael did not let his children down. If Murray was not a murderer and if many others were not invovled in this, Michael would still be here.
People attempted to take him down in 1993 and in 2005, but this time the plan suceeded.
He let them down by using Propofol to go sleep. That is dangerous and he should have never taken that risk whether it was administered to him by a doctor or not.
We don't know for sure that this Propofol was the drug involved, we have only heard stories and leaks - no confirmation yet.
Perhaps it is because I am older now, and was in my 20's when Michael was at his peak, but I most certainly and definitely do not feel let down about Michael Jackson's drug addiction. For one thing, I would have been amazed and astonished if he did not have to rely on sleeping tablets, o something to regulate his body clock for dealing with the changes in time zones he would have to deal with during his world tours. This is something no-one ever speaks about, I mean this would have been a major issue for any of these pop stars who went on world tours. Not only that, but after all the injuries Michael suffered, particularly the one where his hair caught fire, they said that gave him constant pain after that, then there was the bridge he was standing on, which was lowered far too fast, causing Michael to have a severe back injury, which, again, gave him great pain during his performances, despite him having to rely on pain killers. I am sorry, but there are just some people who you feel you cannot bear to think of as being in pain, and for me, one of those people was Michael Jackson. I think in his later years he had to go through a lot of things, and it was obvious that the trial started the process of his death, it killed him, but the one who put him to sleep forever was undoubtedly Conrad Murray, and, yes, I do believe there are many many reasons why we should believe Michael was actually murdered. So, there is no way I feel let down by Michael having to rely on pain killers, after all that is the part about him that everyone forgot to take into consideration that he is human like the rest of us, and he suffers pain just the same as us, because he was very vey human, perhaps more human than a lot of people who were around at that time.I know nothings been confirmed just yet, but we can still speculate.
My sister in love said it so perfectly as we spoke about Michael and this topic and she said:
"People clearly think by reading a few hundred headlines about him that they truly understand but they really don’t.
This wasn’t just some public figure, this was a great man who struggled deeply with things like depression, exhaustion
and extreme anxiety, and unless you've lived that reality and been in that person's shoes, you have no idea what kind of strength that actually takes.
In this day and age we have even more drugs, more programs, more resources and counselling in 2025 then we ever did for adults and children with the same things he had dealt with when he was alive! This to me is the sign of a person that can turn their own tragedies into their greatest strength and continue to sincerely love others and his children unconditionally is a HERO of the Human Spirit in my book !
Mental health as we all clearly know and understand is a real thing that we know way more about today just because only now do we as a whole society take it that much more seriously with great love, care, respect and kindness to our loved ones who are affected by it and all around us.
Some of these same basic concepts in human dignity that they never gave Michael Jackson while he lived among us..
I know this thread is old, but the words in the title are harsh. I've worked with people who are addicted to drugs, and there's a lot of prejudice surrounding these people it's unfortunate... The last years of his life were so stressful.
AI slop full of misinformation.. not a big missI'm shocked that the 'dancing through the fog' thread was deleted! Come on, is this meant to be a discussion for forum or not?!
What an unbelievable self centered and egoistical statement.I do sometimes feel MJ did let his fans down with his antics, I don't think he ever really understood that the ridicule he received was reflected on us as a fan base. He was somewhat protected from experiencing that ridicule outside the media as he was isolated from reality, and he was so popular wherever he went. For some of us, we had to fight the ridicule hard in our daily interactions to remain fans.
I was just sharing my perspective of being a fan during the post 2000s era. For me, it was a difficult time to be a fan. There were many instances where MJs behaviour was alarming. As a young fan at the time, I cheered him on, but now I am older I see he was very troubled during that period and many as fans tried to rationalize his behaviour at the time rather than being concerned for his overall wellbeing. When I say some of us had to fight the ridicule in our daily interactions, this is the perspective I am referring to. If you have a different experience of being a fan in the post 2000s era, good for you, but you don't have to demean the experience of others. What an unbelievable self centered and egoistical statement.
