3. Rock with You: 419,962
4. Smooth Criminal: 397,088
5. Chicago: 329,959
We will have to bump posts like this next year during and after the biopic release So we can see the difference in streaping numbers

Anyone keep track of charts here? You are Not Alone has been certified for 1.3 million outside the United States, it hasn't been certified by the RIAA since 1995, what's it currently eligible for right now?
Plz see this post:

Plz see this post:

So that was from 2022, my source says that as of last year he's now eligible for 51 million in song units. So when he's certified he's going up to nearly 120 million, making him roughly 8th in Digital singles. Which is crazy

Counting up the current certifications for every single along with what's been mentioned in terms of eligible singles in the US, means that Michael would have global certified sales of 180 Million singles, this does not factor in missing certified singles outside the US or Canada. So when he gets certified by the RIAA alone, his global certified units will be 350 million (116 million above Elvis and 56 million above The Beatles)

Keep in mind the RIAA certifies shipments not specifically sales, as we've seen with the Eagles Greatest hits (certified for a additional 8 million during a period it only sold 1 million, and again for another 17 million units during a time it only sold 5 million)
Michael is probably missing at least 5-10 million per album

Talked to one my friends who recently got his sales certified in Canada, You are Not Alone is eligible for 3x platinum in the US.

There are well over 50 million in RIAA certified sales for MJs singles that need to be added. You Are Not Alone is one of many songs that need to be re certified. There are also songs that need to be certified for the first time ever.

With the biopic coming out in only 11 months, sales will continue to climb over the next 2 years. IMO Billie Jean will be MJs first single to hit double diamond (20X PLAT) and this could come as early as Q1 2026 if sales surge the way Im expecting.

The main takeaway for me is MJ having 3 entries which is more than anyone else, not to mention two of them being top 5.
Also wow at Adele being among this bunch

So missing 60 million units in the US, how much outside the US? the Thriller album alone i counted at least 13 million, total eligible international certifications must be well above 50 million, maybe even 100 million

The long version has allready 273 Mio. views

Michael Jackson's "You Rock My World (Official Video - Shortened Version)" has now surpassed 100 million views on YouTube.
Invincible sold 3 million in less than a week without promotion from Sony, i genuinely want to know how much it would have sold if Sony wasn't fucking Michael over. Invincible is one of Michael's biggest "What If's"

I would hope that OTW, Thriller and BAD would be in top 20. - IMO HIStory is up there too if you rate the new songs only. - I do not know how they rate it when it is also a greatest hits album on disc 1. - But individually disc 2, the new album HIStory should be in top 30.

Apple Music is doing a ranking of the 100 best albums on Twitter. So far nothing MJ has appeared. Not sure where to put this, also.

What are we expecting though?
Off The Wall, Top 20,
Thriller, Top 5,
Bad, Top 10-20,
Dangerous, Top 20-30,
Anything else, Top 40-60.
The fact they didn't do a poll since MJ would obviously win by a landslide leads me to believe someone mid like the Beatles will be at the top.

Off the wall, thriller and bad will chart, that's it. Though surprisingly in a similar poll in Belgium a couple of months ago Dangerous also made the list (top 500)

We are not talking about if it will, I just said what slot it'd get if it was on there..everybody knows the Quincy Trilogy is getting there.
This is my expectation

Off The Wall, Top 40
Thriller nr 1 or 2
Bad, Top 50 - 100
Dangerous /
Anything else /

Just checked, the top 60 is not known yet, as of now no sign of MJ.

Off The Wall is considered MJs best record by too many people to be only 30-40. But, sure

I'm not expecting Michael to get more than one album in the list, tbh. They're putting lots of newer stuff in there, lots of indie stuff.

What are we expecting though?
I'm just gonna wait and see. They're clearly trying to make it different to the usual although how much of that is bc it's a streaming service, I'm not sure.
