This project is getting shelved
I'm genuinely not trolling at all. You're usually trolling but I'll give a serious answer:
It's basically been 11 years since Xscape came out and it's basically like the last "MJ Project". I wouldn't count Thriller 10 Years Until 50 mostly because it's "archival". It doesn't even have any new remixes lol.
Well, maybe there's one? I forgot. Who Do You Know is still a slapper though.
This project smelled fishy to me from day one, and that was three years ago. Even now, I still can't figure out what their actual intentions are
Yeah, I'm curious how many people involved were fooled by this. Rodney is the only one talking about it lol.It would be interesting to hear what Rodney has to say about it.
You can hear him talking about the album at the start of this video.
Did he know that it's all a scam?
Can you describe the song Dark Lady for us? Did you heard a full verse or chorus vocally? It would be great to have more information.Dark Lady was recorded by MJ, I've heard it and it's amazing albeit not complete. Water has some MJ vocals, again I've heard it and its magic. The others I'm not sure. Whether or not they try to market this project as 2006, when in reality his vocals were from other years... that is possible. Because MJ did not record any vocals in 2006 in Ireland. He mostly just picked out hooks/sounds he liked and worked on the skeleton/production of songs.
So this project will either take MJ's vocals from other studio time done during Invincible sessions or later in 2007/2008/2009 and list MJ as a collaborator/feature artist. Or it will be a tribute album only with other singers singing songs and piggybacking off MJ's name to get press.
seems some of the hype for that is still there, maybe itd do pretty well if the estate and sony gave a damn to properly promote it unlike most of their music projects over the last decade lolWhile it was obvious BS, isn't it interesting to see the interest in a new Michael Jackson project? 'Xscape' 2 would do really well. Follow the same formula (less holograms), get a big lead single with a respectfully chosen artist and give the fans the original demos.
Do it for the Plot, ManPaddy Dunning went to one of the largest tabloids in existence and not only lied about one of the most successful groups on the planet taking part in a tribute album for the most influential pop artist to ever live, but also lied about said pop artist’s estate signing off on that album being made and (seemingly) lied to said pop artist’s collaborators about the authority they had to make that album.
Gotta respect the hustle, man.
So, if I've got this right, it's artists I definitely don't care about, singing songs that MJ had nothing to do with? And then they just put an MJ logo on the box?The tribute will give an impression of what could have been in 2010. How can you as a fan not be interested in it?
On another note, representatives for BTS have also issued a statement firmly denying the K-Pop supergroup’s involvement in the project.
Well, maybe there's one? I forgot. Who Do You Know is still a slapper though.
It means it's a bangerIs a 'slapper' a good or a bad thing..? I like it
This doesn't surprise me at all; it would have been a miracle if the estate had given its blessing to this really interesting project. The Estate really does an excellent job of distancing itself from anything that fans might like.

I guess we'll just take the side of anybody if we can dunk on the Estate. Very interesting choice of words. This doesn't surprise me at all; it would have been a miracle if the estate had given its blessing to this really interesting project.
the website got completely taken down
That was much quicker than removing the fake songs from the Michael album.
the website got completely taken down
I thought so! Imagine it was finished by Quincy..It means it's a banger
