The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

"Pyramid Girl" mystery's debunked. It turns out no song titles were revealed to attendees during the preview session.

Thought everyone knew this. Yeah it’s just misheard Liberian Girl

I feel like this gets litigated every few months lol. I think the difference is that Buxer is incredibly consistent with his recollections and claims, whereas Teddy flip-flops with every interview. (Plus, Buxer coming up with the chord progression for “Stranger in Moscow” absolutely extends to co-authorship.)
Only weird thing with Buxer really is he lists Jungle as an MJ song he did when MJ had literally nothing to do with it. Everything else he’s been very consistent with from my recollection

Yeah, always thought pyramid girl was never a title. It appearing in like two random articles isn't proof and MJ had already mentioned the song title before.

If I’m not mistaken, Damien Shields said “Jungle” was a Dr. Freeze song that originated from a Buxer loop.

Indeed. It was Liberian Girl even back in 1983 when Michael first mentioned it in that “unauthorized” interview… Suspect it was misheard all along as “Pyramid Girl”.

Was it misheard by multiple people or was there one person who misheard and others copied that..?
