No it's because (I Can't Make It) Another Day.
It's a bottle of smoke.

I went through Brads HIStory podcast again (recommended, go check it out): https://itswmjpodcast00.podbean.com...-with-matt-forger-rob-hoffman-and-tony-black/

Brad Sundberg: Was there a song on the album you felt unsure of or think didn't fit on the album? *talks about DS*

Tony Black: I don't really know if I have enough contact with all the songs to know "ok that one shouldn't have made it". I can't really think of a song. *talks about hiphop* Everything felt like it belonged. There are some songs that I can't even tell you what they were. I do remember (songs) from different other contributers that didn't made the album I think should have. There is a lot of those where I thought "thats a good one", but then they're gone. Theres a bunch of Babyface collaborations that were amazing. And they hit the bin, I don't know.
Maybe someone can ask Tony in the upcoming seminar about that Part? ;)

But would trust a made-up source🤣
I think you’re referring to the tape with streetwalker on it, still we don’t know if Streetwalker was/wasn’t discarded already based on that picture. I’d rather trust someone that was actually there for now
I mean, it was basically the penultimate tracklist
that is the most "working title" song I have ever seen.
Medusa, Pee, among others would like a word

Buffalo Bill was in articles from 1984 to 1989? and yet, how was it never released.
I feel like he loved the song and it was a really song , but I feel like theme wise he couldn’t find a place for that without going full fledge with the cowboy aesthetic.& looking at that era I feel that he was really tryna go with that gangster style that’s why I don’t think it was a bad idea to name the album smooth criminal I feel like if he went full fledge with they

I've been thinking about this and you have a point.

Buffalo Bill should've been on Victory. But Michael didn't really want to do the tour and album. I think Buffalo Bill would've required a music video, and MJ wanted no part of that. See the Torture video as proof. And there was no video for State of Shock. So maybe this played into why BB failed to make Victory.

My theory now is, BB was held back for what became the Bad album.

Since the track was already finished (except full solo vocals) it's no wonder none of the usual studio staff, except for Q and Bruce, knew about BB as Michael would often record vocals late at night alone with Bruce.

Also, this is a bit random, but what are the chances that the Bad Bumper Snippet that leaked years ago is a snippet from the same session of the Groove of Midnight snippet that leaked?

Even if it turns out to be a stinker, I have never been more obsessed with hearing an unreleased MJ song as Buffalo Bill right now. It's always been up there (Victory too) but Buffalo Bill is it.

Leak it please. Quick.
If it was considered for Bad right next to SW '87, its probably a good song.

I highly doubt it'll leak anytime soon. Its among songs like Crack Kills, Tomboy, Joy, What You Do To Me, Make Or Break, Boots Song, Nymphette Lover, that are all the most sought after songs and have been for decades. If the Brad heist didnt happen, I highly doubt Chicago 1945 would've leaked by now

I hope this song (both solo and Jacksons versions (both recorded in 1983)) includes introduction of orchestral (a string quartet and all others) and Michael Jackson using all vocal parts (deep (natural; not pitch shifted), super upper head voice, and all others) to tell a story about how Buffalo Bill was shot and killed.

Songs that I feel that should've leaked by now are instrumentals. Not sure why collectors have been holding onto them for so long. Songs like Apocalypse Now, Kreeton Overture, MJ Melody, the full version of Time Marches On, Ask Rene 1 & 3, the 1990 instrumental of SPYHO, Bubbles, House Groove, Son of Thriller, etc. I also feel like there's no reason the two Speed Demon remixes from 1988 should be gatekept lol

Michael only recorded a guide vocal, akin to the Shake A Body and BIOB demos, and Changes.

Speaking of Changes, are the vocals from the 1995 version the same ones from the Bad version? I saw sources say that the 1995 version just has overdubs including the choir

And I hope she texts me.

Don't forget about "Iowa". Which is from 1977.
