Berlin 10th of April Michael celebration

On a positive note, it was great to hear the Wembley audio in a new mix. It sounded bigger than the CD or DVD audio. I also think they dubbed the audio with additional instruments, especially during the Victory Tour.

But for most fans, this movie is just a string of songs. To me, the most important deep dive into Michael’s life was left out; it only touched on topics that are already well-known. I was hoping to get to know Michael better. Also, the acting was very minimal. While Joe Jackson’s performance was great, there was a lack of depth regarding his persona and how his own background influenced the way he raised his children. It’s a shame. This movie would have been an amazing opportunity to really gain insight into the characters. Too little acting, too much music.
THX for your review!
I know I can count on your opinion.

I expected as much as I saw the first teaser..

Since it became clear that there will be a Part2 I always thought they will use the first one as the crowd catcher, or crowd pleaser.
The one with the classics, the musical..

Let’s see if they can turn part2 into a more story/truth/drama driven piece.
I got my fingers crossed!

Branca did not invite any of the team on MJJC, this community is the worlds most popular and active Michael Jackson community yet we mean nothing to them. And no I would not have gone, instead I would have opened it up to someone here. You guys are what makes this community, not me.
Dont worry bout branca gaz

Me personaly I don't give a crap about the man, he's of no interest to me, what I do take exception to is him wiping away all you guys in this community, not even a ticket giveaway for any of you. This place is singly the most active Michael Jackson space in the world, more active than his own. So yeah I have an issue with that lol.

I just went to try my luck and got tickets for the mj party tonight. I miss not having been at the premiere, but tonight was real nice. The entrance was free, lots of dance battles, many young people, everyone holding hands for heal the world at the end. I bet social media are full of videos, great way for promotion via "word of mouth aka shares"

Hi everyone, I was one of the lucky few who received an invite to attend the premiere.

Flights and hotel were not included, and it wasn't until I arrived that I realized you had to register separately for the other events held throughout the weekend. So, I only saw the film in IMAX yesterday. The visuals and sound were breathtaking.

The movie itself? Disappointing. The costumes and attention to detail? They clearly tried their best. We’re living in 2026, yet the CGI they used isn't top tier. MJ’s hair was inaccurate more often than not. The trailer definitely cherry-picked the best moments.

I felt the story was lacking; you don’t really get to know Michael. I appreciated that they moved quickly through the Jackson 5 era, but the entire movie felt like a sequence of music videos stitched together. This was the opportunity to let the audience get to know Michael and what he was up against. Instead, the film is packed with clichés that any casual fan already knows. The picture and sound were fantastic, but that’s about all I can say for it.

It felt like I was watching an impersonator. Even Jaafar made a few moves that weren't quite "Michael-esque," which only made me realize there will never be anyone like him again.

This movie is clearly intended for the new generation. And I find myself completely agreeing with Paris Jackson.
Dude what? The movie was amazing, what more do you want in a 2h part 1 movie that is made for the general audience? Jaafar, and the entire cast, did a phenominal job portraying their characters. "This was the opportunity to let the audience get to know Michael and what he was up against" doesn't make any sense since the whole story literally is to seperate himself from Jospeh and his family, showing the aftermath of the Pepsi incident, as well as many other things that I don't want to spoil here. Objectively speaking, this movie is an 8/10.

What else did you want in this movie?

Did you watch the wrong movie?

Objectively speaking? Let’s just say, we agree to disagree.
