In response, the Estate clarifies to THR that these tracks are not “new” as the master recordings are currently housed in the Estate’s vaults. “The Estate of Michael Jackson was presented with DAT copies NOT master recordings of Michael’s music, and we confirmed that the actual master recordings were in fact already located in the Estate’s vaults,” says a rep for the Estate. “It should be clear to all that ownership and rights of exploitation to the recordings remain vested in MJJP Records and that nothing commercial or otherwise can be done with the DAT copies.”

wowowwowoowowow
Michael always loved to "recycle" older ideas or elements of songs. He might be bitter person but when you hear stuff like '7 Digits' you have to admit Loren is right about his influence on not only 'Dangerous' but also 'History' and 'Blood on the Dancefloor'
Exactly!! What I would like to know, post Cascio and also post the birth of AI... how can we make sure we will ever get true Michael whenever a new song gets published?! I mean Cascio was done before AI, I would assume it would be even easier to do pull it off nowdays. It's convenient that enough songs were found to make a full album. Maybe a little TOO convenient.
After the whole Cascio debarcle I'll always be a little suspicious of any new songs that's magically discovored.
Not to be pedantic but in this specific case of 7 digits, wasn’t it Michael who came up with the melody for the song? It’s basically Michael recycling his own ideas and honestly, a lot of artist does this. IMO, I can not hear any influence from the Bryan Loren tracks on Dangerous or History except for 7 digits. He might be bitter person but when you hear stuff like '7 Digits' you have to admit Loren is right about his influence on not only 'Dangerous' but also 'History' and 'Blood on the Dancefloor'
we will never know for sure since AI.So... how will we ever know?
I dunno if I agree. As much as I enjoy some of his songs, they’re very middle-of-the-road new jack swing beats that any R&B singer/producer could’ve made. To be honest, I hear more influence from Bobby Brown than Loren on Dangerous and BOTDF.He might be bitter person but when you hear stuff like '7 Digits' you have to admit Loren is right about his influence on not only 'Dangerous' but also 'History' and 'Blood on the Dancefloor'
I like Bryan's work tbh. I think 'Do The Bartman' tainted his sound to 'goofy' instead of funky but I think Michael would have sounded great on these songs, it's definitely the Minneapolis and R'n'B sound it is said he was looking for:
BTW: 'Ain't that what chu want' is basically Man in Black vs. Streetwalker
That’s a solid take.His music doesn't suit MJ. Too Prince-esque.
Michael's voice suited any genre, I dare say.His music doesn't suit MJ. Too Prince-esque.

Wasn’t that In The Back?I'm pretty sure Seven Digits was featured in early Blood on the Dance Floor promotional tracklists.
The version we've heard has to be the final version (that's why it was considered for Dangerous SE), in fact it seems that the recently found version doesn't feature LL Cool J in the rapI wonder what version of serious effect have we been listening to for the past couple decades![]()
You think so? It still sounds ‘unfinished’ in some parts. Either way i want all the versions. Thats my song lolThe version we've heard has to be the final version (that's why it was considered for Dangerous SE), in fact it seems that the recently found version doesn't feature LL Cool J in the rap
The song was never finished, the version considered for release on Dangerous special edition was likely just the last version worked on.You think so? It still sounds ‘unfinished’ in some parts. Either way i want all the versions. Thats my song lol
On July 20, 2024, Faux leaked a medium-quality snippet of the 2010 remix on the internet.[7] Damien Shields confirmed its authenticity on July 22.[8] Meanwhile, two more snippets leaked on the same day.[9] On August 29, 2024, it was leaked in full by an unknown source, and a day later, Damien Shields confirmed its authenticity.[10]As we come to the end of another year, can someone fill me in regards to what song's leaked in 2024?
