Weird direction to go in but, OK.[...] If being a singer is suddenly seen as a job that pays below the minimum wage, and if that's the reason somebody doesn't want to be a singer any more, good riddance, they won't be missed.
Y'know, I do understand all of this. Not sure why you feel the need to spell this out. So many of the bands I saw live never even got signed. Of the ones that did get signed, probably 80% of those never got past their first little EP. I've lost count of the number of gigs I've been to where a band performed in front of maybe 10 - 20 people ... and two of those people were bar staff waiting to start their shift, lol. I'm fully aware that throughout most of human history most people made their own music in their own home. See Paul McCartney.Literally 99.999% of all the musicians who ever lived, made zero money from it. The reason people pick up a guitar is because they enjoy it and they want to learn. It's never because they want to make a career out of it. And having fun is literally the only valid reason to become a guitarist.
I'm not. ffs!We really need to stop worrying about how Taylor Swift will make her next hundred million.
I'm aware of that. Having been passionate about music since I was 3 yo, yes, I understand that.People are passionate about music.
Who the **** is passionate about the music industry? If that's what you got from my posts ... actually, I'm speechless ...It's only recently that people have started to be passionate about the music industry. And I find that bizarre.
We can agree on this, at least.Meh. It doesn't matter. [...]
