A message from the heart
As someone who has lived a life with some difficult circumstances, I strive to be the best I can be. I may sometimes get it wrong, I may approach you in the wrong way but with the best of intentions. You may somehow take my comments and meaning's negatively but you must know, I have your best intentions at heart.
When you are me, you see the things that you want the most,
Then again you make the wrong decisions and lose it all
You may misread the most important signs
You may ignore what means the most,
Due to actions in my life I may gain everything my heart desires
But I could also lose it with the blink of an eye.
When you look into someone's eyes what do you truly see
Is the light flickering, or has the candle just gone out,
Does their heart shine, and their soul glow,
Do their feet dance, and their face light up
Do you understand their pain, can you empathise
Do you sympathise or just ignore the signs altogether
You see the sun come up, what do you honestly think
Do you see the sky shining beyond it's wildest dreams
When the moon's rising and passes the sun what do you honestly think
Do you see the beauty in the stars, or the sky just turn black
Does it reflect the feeling in your heart,
Or does the smile on your face get bigger
When you walk, are you walking towards your dreams
When you are running, are you running from the fear
The fear you might slip, or fall off the edge,
When someone holds your hand, does it slip away
Or does it cling on for the strength you wish you had.
When your head touches the pillow do the tears roll down your face
Or do you feel triumphant in everything you have done
Can you turn your back on a friend knowing this isn't goodbye
Or do you know that this is the end
Have your family left you loved, or sad,
Abused or comforted
Do they hug you because they love you
Do they simply push you away, and leave you empty
A message from the heart comes from deep within
The soul can be empty but two words can make you feel alive
Thank you, can be the most important words you would ever hear
A soul can shine, but it only shines when you hide yourself away
To understand, myself or yourself you have to search deep within
And if the inside is black, and your mind has not died then there is hope,
You may feel alone at the moment but if your heart is beating
Then god doesn't want you to come home to him yet
There is a reason you survive because there is hope he can see
He can see in the eyes of the beholder and realise there is life there
I pray to all that suffer beyond belief
I sometimes walk away with the best of intentions
Don't hate me for leaving you,
It can sometimes be the best thing
For people who have left me, I don't hate you
I believe our friendship ended for the best
The experiences you have shown me, have taught me the truth
The denial I feel in myself today is to bring me back stronger tomorrow
A message from a heart, my heart can mean so much to one person, and I believe my message from my heart can help you understand, that I may empathise, I may sympathise but even if I don't understand doesn't mean I don't acknowledge the signs
