I recommend you to pay attention to your audio download section. The threads by "alex13" (Hollywood Tonight and Thriller) include streams of stolen material which could cause you legal trouble in case Sony takes notice of this.

These SoundCloud links contain data that was stolen from Sony (incl. material "Birchey" used to tease fellow fans with shortly before his arrest, most prominently the HT Recall 3 mixes).

I have heard few other people have got about the same PM from him. Here is an exposed PM JohnC got (he posted this on Facebook himself while ago)
His ID is blanked out, but I know it is him anyway.

Ok I will also remove his PM privilege to make sure he can't contact/pester anyone else.

it has come to our attention that you are posting illegal/stolen material on the board and you are also pestering members by PM to trade for this illegal material. This is against the rules and policy of MJJC. Your account has been placed in moderation and all post will need to be approved by mods. We frown on trading here becuase it's just a selish, self serving thing for fans to do. It serves no good purpose. Fans should share material with one another, not hold MJ songs and videos for ransom. Not speaking of the songs stolen from Sony servers that you leaked but just in general. We cant allow those songs on our board period. We almost lost our board because of that issue. We have to protect MJJC.

Billyjeanplxiv stated in a PM in admin that they are the one traded the material to Alex13

Now we also have a reported post where Alex 13 report Billyjeanplxiv for calling them retarded
in the thread he posted of the Thriller accapella.

I think it was Gaz confonted Billyjeanplxiv by Admin PM asking them why they did that. Billyjeanplxiv said becuase they cant stand Alex13 becuse he is hurting the MJ trading business by leaking and giving away the songs they traded to him. Gaz stated so you are upset for someone giving away something to the fans that you dont even own becuase you cant profit off Michael becuase of it .. or something like that. He said he doesnt allow trading and will be keeping on eye on them.


The Pm was sent to Alex13.
Ivy Let us know if he replies to your PM and I will do the same If he replies positive and says he wont continue that activity here. If he does we can allow him out of mod que in 7days. If he has an attitude or doesn't reply we should just ban him for the offense

Im pretty sure Billyjeanplxiv is doing the same thing. I hate when fans hold MJ songs and videos for ransom and dont share them for others to enjoy. It's just such a selfish self serving thing to do. ( not speaking about the stolen songs .. but in general.)
 
OK Alex very politely responded to our PM apologized for his actions said he wouldn't do it again. Thanks us for not banning him. He will be in moderation Que for 7 days with no PM privileges.

Thank you Alex for apologizing and promising not to trade or post illegal material on the board. We are going to hold you to your word. You will be in moderation for 7 days. You can still post on the board but your posts will have to be approved for viewing. Your PMs will also be down for this period. Your actions can put our board in jeopardy. Ok .. here is how we can nip the downloads in the bud . plus put a wrench in the gears of the traders.

We should allow youtube videos of the songs and place a warning no DL links allowed. Same as we do for any leaked copyright material .. we allow youtube vids just no downloads. This is not a new song waiting to be released. I dont think we should be helping the traders/sellers by completley Censoring it here. It's not illegal for us to allow Youtube vids. There are already several uploaded on youtube already. If Sony wants to cite you tube channels for copyright fine but so far they havent. Sony or webb sherriff does not bother us over streamed youtube vids or audio clips which are not hosted on our site. We are just not allowed to have download links to the material.

I have no worry over youtube vidoes or soundcloud clips causing us any problems from Sony or websherrif.
Plus we have an audio clip allowed here for weeks of the leaked HT recall sound clip - no difference IMO

I will send a PM warning to the offenders through the Admin account.. that any futher DL links to illegal copyright material will place them in mod que or their account banned.

The reason Alex13 was placed in mod que was for the added evidence of him pesterind/soliciting members to trade by PM on top of posting his short clip the material ..

Being so many members seem confused over this song being copyright material

MJJC will allow videos of The Thriller acapella and HT Recall 3 mixes in the 2000 Watts forum only but .. No soundcloud links with DL capabilities allowed. and as always per the rules of MJJC there will be NO download links or requests for download links allowed anywhere on the board for leaked or illegal copyright material. That puts our board in jepordy.

Now we do make allowances for some material so If you are ever in doubt of what is or isn't allowed, please read the rules and guidelines. If you cant find the answer there, you should post a question in 2000 Watts discussion asking for permission. Anyone posting download links or or found to be trading this or any copyright material on MJJC can have their account instantly banned or placed in moderation in which all posts have to be manually approved and PM and email permissions revoked untill a decision is made.

Oh and there were many others.
