I thought I'd throw my latest poem on here called "Alive" ...
They say that artists soar,
They are just the ones that are bored...
Everyone has a talent that they should discover,
otherwise on the surface they continue to hover...
Artists need to feel alive,
for that ultimate feeling they strive...
To create is a bliss,
without it they get lost in a mist...
Either is a melody or a letter,
they aim to make the world better...
It's true they are misunderstood,
once too often kicked in the booth...
They are the pioneers that dare to dream,
in a world so lost it seem...
To soar is not a crime,
but a useful way to spend our borrowed time...
As we only live this one life,
for perfection we must strive...
So artists out there,
and critics beware,
we are the people that dare...
Escapism and happiness is what we bring,
so why do we have to suffer in all this bling...
You critize us as we're a different be,
we have found the light you wanna see...
So let us be alive and spread the magic
to live without it would be tragic...
