Announcement From The Estate Of Michael Jackson / Second announcement

Re: Announcement From The Estate Of Michael Jackson

what makes you think that Michael gifted them all to Bush? for example the gold pants outfit, Estate already has a copy (which was at the Fan Fest) and Bush had listed one in the upcoming auction. So that might mean he took one and gifted the second one. Similarly Estate also has a gray bad tour shirt. Bush is auctioning another one. Also when you read the auction explanations you can see that some items are explained to be 2 copies , 4 copies etc. but only 1 copy being on sale. So that might mean the other copies can be in the possession of MJ Estate or some other people.

And as Petrarose said I think that if there was 2-3 copies of the costume, I would think that all of them were used because they needed to be washed/ cleaned and repaired.

so that means that there is 2 of this particular costume then...that we know about..The Estate one and the one that MB has in the auction. I am just so upset about THIS particular costume whether there is 1 or 2 of them...either way it doesn't really make a difference...WHY do they have to sell this one?? It literally brings me to tears just thinking about THIS costume being auctioned...my heart is being ripped out. I dont have the words to express the pain it makes me feel. In my heart THIS costume was a HUGE part of MJ. Although I don't care for the rest of the pieces being auctioned off either...knowing this one is ..IS killing me inside. :boohoo:

Re: Announcement From The Estate Of Michael Jackson

Oh Thunder I send you good cheer^^. The thing is that even if Michael made 3 and the estate has one, it does not mean the 2 Bush has is his to sell, so until Bush clears up this issue, and I understand some do not have an issue with this, I will continue to think the following:

Bush and partner made the costumes. If Michael did not take them all from Bush, whatever remained at their place of business, Bush kept them as his. Bush also kept costumes after he helped Michael change his clothes.

We have to remember how sloppy Michael's managers were about Michael's storage, so Michael probably thought they were handling his clothes after a tour, when in fact the items were still with Bush. Since I do not believe that Bush sneaked into Michael's home and stole the items, I can only conclude that they were left at their premises or taken off Michael when he changed his clothes. We have videos with Bush helping Michael take his jacket off.

I accept the fact that some think all the items Bush has is his and he could do with them what he wants.

Would you feel any better if I say that I will buy that or any other costume from auction, and I will take good care of them?

If it's any help, it will be Michael's fan with plenty of money, who will buy those costumes and will take care of them.
Who ever buys those costumes, they know the story behind the costume, when and where it was worn.
Most likely new owner loves those costumes as much you do.

Ah

About the goldpants (which I love), there must have been several of them. I attended many of those concerts, and he had different pants on. At some concerts there were pockets on his lovely butt, sometimes not. Some were tight, some were not. Some more gold and some with gold/sparkle kind of thing. Someone said a long time ago that they were fragile and was teared apart easy and that he got new ones many time. And that Bush burned those they couldn´t use more instead of throwing them away, because they were afraid someone would steal them. And he said on his facebook back in 2010 that he used to wash clothes in his hotel room, in the bath tube, because of theft.

^^Poor Michael washing his own clothes in a bathroom. You mean there was no staff he could trust to take care of that job?

Bub sometimes not only fans buy these things, but investors who buy them for their potential increase in value. I guess Thunder feels that such buyers do not have the same emotional connection to the product. Of course such buyers take care of the product because it is valuable, but sometimes they simply keep them hidden and others do not get to see them. I think Thunder is concerned about that aspect too because if the item is with the estate, there is the potential that many fans will be able to view them eventually.

I know and understand Thunder's feelings , but I choose to bury my head in the sand and hope that the costumes which will be sold at the auction, will find new loving home and are well taken care of by MJ fan:angel:

No no, Bush washed his clothes, gold pants etc. Sorry for the confusion. :)

Oh, so sweet^^.

Virre thanks, so there you have it again. Bush has his hands on the clothes again. He makes them, dresses and undresses Michael, and sometimes washes the clothes. A person like that has much access to Michael's clothes, and that is why Bush has so many items in his possession.

So, they wash them in the bathroom to prevent theft, but what is the difference in someone stealing the clothes during Michael's life or stealing them after his death? It is still stealing, to me.

Re: Announcement From The Estate Of Michael Jackson

This is very nice, great from all parts.

yes I would feel ALOT better if a fan bought these constums.. Someone that loves them as much as WE do. Even though that is a good second option...I would like for the Estate to own ALL of them and put them in a museum. I know KF can be cray but EVEN SHE said that Michael wanted his stuff in a Museum.

First let me say thank you for the hugs. :) Secondly I am so happy to have a first hand account as to how many different styles there were of those Gold Pants..it makes it a little easier knowing that the 2 that we know about..again the Estate and the one's MB had were not the only one's and that Michael wore MANY pairs...thank you so much for this post...you have no idea how much you have helped me. I STILL don't want to see these pieces go to auction..but I cannot stop it..no matter how much I kick.. scream.. or cry...these close are going. All we can do now is pray that they will go to a fan and they will love them and share them with the rest of the fan community..after all when Michael wore them...he was sharing them with us..(oh Lord was he ) Again THANK YOU so much for this post .

yes I know what you mean...if they HAVE to be sold...I would want a fan that loved those GoLD pants as much as we do and would want to share them with the rest of us. Because anyone else that buys them that is NOT a MJ fan they would buy them for the value of them and NOT for the LOVE that they bring. If I had a pair of these Gold pants you better believe I would sleep with them every night...

Re: Announcement From The Estate Of Michael Jackson

A Second Announcement from MJ Estate

Hello:

Michael Jackson was always giving items to friends, fans, sick children he visited and others he met throughout his life. As a result, the Estate does not own all Michael Jackson costumes and/or other pieces. Many people now possess different Michael Jackson items, and those items are the property of those individuals; the Estate cannot control what private citizens do with their own property. But all of Michael's fans can rest assured that while the Estate may not have every single item ever worn by Michael as a result of his own generosity, the Estate does have more than enough costumes and fashion accessories along with all Michael's other possessions to enable the Estate to create a museum/exhibition for fans to enjoy and to honor Michael appropriately. Any fans who attended the Michael Jackson Fan Fest exhibit in Las Vegas last year saw that. Everything that was part of that exhibition was and remains Estate property and there is more property that was not displayed. Although it is premature to do so now, the Estate looks forward to sharing its future plans with then fans at the appropriate time.

Sincerely,

It's time to celebrate. Now we could speculate about all the good things that we will see in a few years.
