Can an archived thread be resurrected?

In Michael Mania right now, there is a thread called "videos that could be better", which made me start thinking about songs that should have had a video. I did a search and found a similar thread and it was interesting-but it's archived for 2009.
If I respond to that, will it bump it up to the Mania section, or can you even respond to old threads like that?

Unless Gary moves the thread out of archives, no it cannot be resurrected. Archived forums/threads are for read-only purposes. Feel free to start a new thread though

OK-thanks-I just had this thought about videos, and was searching and found one just exactly like what I had been thinking about. Had some pretty good stuff in it-but it was from 2009.
