They put back the statue??!! That's awesome! I'm actually planning a trip to Vegas in the fall and staying at Mandalay Bay, so now I'm even more excited that this is back!

2:00 PM AT THE MICHAEL JACKSON ONE THEATER
The doors to the theater will open to everyone and activities in the theater are scheduled to start at 2:30 pm. The afternoon will include, among other things, a return to a special performance by the cast of Michael Jackson ONE to celebrate the birthday.
Immediately following the events in the theater, there will be the annual MICHAEL BUSH BOOK SIGNING which is also open to everyone.

PRE-SHOW MEET AND GREET
Everyone holding tickets to performances on August 28 and August 29 is invited to the theater lobby at 5:30 pm for the annual Meet & Greet with the Estate team and their invited guests including, among others, Jamie King and Rich & Tone Talauega. There will also be cupcakes for all to acknowledge Michael’s August 29 birthday. During the meet and greet, there will also be the “step & repeat” for photo opportunities and fans are invited to leave video messages for Michael’s birthday.

SECOND ANNUAL BIRTHDAY BRUNCH
At 9 am on Monday, there will be a special brunch offered. This is a special treat open only to those who can show their tickets for a performance of Michael Jackson ONE on either August 28 or August 29 so don’t forget to bring that with you to gain admission! In addition, this will be a more intimate event with very limited capacity and once the room capacity has been reached, we will not be able to allow anyone else in. If you want to guarantee yourself admission to the brunch, we will again offer the opportunity to pre-register for the event. The pre-registration will take place the first week in August and details will be shared here at a later date.

I almost forgot about this. I will definitely try to tune in for it. I have never seen mj one or been to vegas. I wish I could go but its on the other side of the country for me. Same thing for MJ the Musical I am not used to traveling such a distance.
 
The Girl Is Mine... It is a Thriller song... but I don't think they have Baby Be Mine in the show do they? - They seems a more obvious choise.
Seems like a huge effort - huge dance and set up for at one time only. Great work by the people involved.
 
100k views for such a long video in a relatively short amount of time is amazing. especially because michael himself isn't in the video.

i will say i wish they had performed baby be mine it could use a small boost. its the lowest song on thriller.

I don't think Baby Be Mine is in the show... been a while since I've seen it. This one was cute though.

From what I understand they do this sort of thing for Michael's birthday every year, so now I'm curious what songs they've done the other years.

Las Vegas (KSNV) — Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil joined The Estate of Michael Jackson to celebrate the king of pops birthday over the weekend in Las Vegas.

The two-day event began on Sunday, August 28, with a special screening of the record-setting behind-the-scenes documentary, “Making of Michael Jackson’s Thriller,” inside the theater at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

The 45-minute documentary was followed by an exclusive Q & A session with musical director and keyboardist Greg Phillinganes to recognize the upcoming 40th anniversary of “Thriller.”

The audience was then dazzled by a specially created, one-time-only performance by the cast of Michael Jackson ONE, with the performance being live streamed online.

Also in attendance was Michael Jackson's 25-year-old son, Prince, who was seen taking pictures with fans.

Later that day, guests joined a private book signing by Michael Bush, Michael Jackson’s longtime costume designer and author of “The King of Style: Dressing Michael Jackson.”

The night ended with complimentary birthday cake and a meet and greet with John Branca, the Co-Executor of The Estate of Michael Jackson, Michael Jackson ONE writer, director Jamie King and show choreographers Rich and Tone Talauega.

The celebration continued on Monday when ticket holders attended a private brunch where Sony Music presented new Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certification plaques for four singles on the “Thriller” album.

The birthday weekend celebration kicked off on Saturday, Aug. 28, with the #MyMJMoves dance challenge, judged by writer and director for Michael Jackson ONE, Jamie King, and show choreographers, Rich and Tone Talauega.

The day's festivities featured an exclusive Q&A with acclaimed director and choreographer, Kenny Ortega, in recognition of the upcoming 25th anniversary of the "HIStory World Tour," which launched on Sept. 7, 1996. Ortega was joined on stage by members of the Michael Jackson ONE creative team, Travis Payne, Jamie King, Rich and Tone, who all worked with Kenny Ortega and Michael Jackson. Making a surprise appearance was Michael's drummer of 30 years, Jonathan "Sugarfoot" Moffett, who joined the group in sharing memorable and inspirational moments of working with Michael.

In attendance and enjoying the afternoon's activities was Michael's son Prince along with several of his cousins and family members. The day's events culminated with everyone, including Michael's younger son, Bigi, joining his brother and other family members and a sold-out audience for a high-energy performance of Michael Jackson ONE. Ticket holders for the performance also had the opportunity to meet with representatives from The Estate of Michael Jackson, including the participants in the afternoon activities.

On Sunday, Aug. 29, attendees were able to meet Michael Jackson's longtime costume designer and author of "The King of Style: Dressing Michael Jackson," Michael Bush at an intimate book signing.

I was there this past Saturday! I can't believe I didn't post this until now, but it was my third time seeing the show, and it was amazing! I saw MJ Live earlier in the evening and then the later show of MJ One.
