Hello everybody,
"a plan to seek justice for Michael Jackson" group has not ended his fight for Justice.
We are now making the last adjustments to the letter we are going to send to the D.A. Steve Cooley, in order to ask him to change the charges against Dr. Murray from Involuntary Manslaughter to 2nd Degree Murder.

Dear Mr. Cooley,
on June 25th, 2009 Mr. Michael Joseph Jackson died due to a lethal intoxication of Propofol, which was administered by Dr. Conrad Murray.
We are writing to you personally as well as on behalf of thousands of Mr. Michael Jackson supporters throughout the world with serious concern and distress pertaining to the handling of the legal procedures against Dr. Murray, the responsible of Mr. Michael Jackson’s death.
All involved with this letter are in complete disappointment and dismay that the concept of justice is being severely jeopardized as Dr. Conrad Murray was only charged with Involuntary Manslaughter, even if there is more than enough evidence to believe that Mr. Michael Jackson’s death was not an accident.
I am going to enumerate the reasons and evidences on which I base the previous assertion:
- First of all, I would like to point out that Dr. Murray claimed he administered Propofol, an anesthetic which has to be used only for major surgery, because his patient suffered of insomnia. But which doctor uses anesthetic to treat insomnia?
As he is a doctor, he took an oath to “Do No Harm” and he certainly broke that oath by acting like this;
- Mr. Conrad Murray is a doctor. Even so, he administered Propofol in an absolutely improper place, Mr. Jackson’s home. He perfectly knew that by administering Propofol outside a proper structure he could have killed his patient as Propofol should be administered only in medical structures;
- Propofol should be administered by certified anesthesiologists, nurse anesthesiologists, anesthesiologists assistants, or anesthesia technicians. Dr. Murray is none of the above, as he is a cardiologist though not illegal did not have proper training and far out of his scope of practice. He was a cardiologist who may have used Versed at the most but not a surgeon who might have some knowledge of anesthesia. Chances are he used some type of anesthesiologist professional at his practice or at the very least had someone to consult with as Global Cardiovascular Associates seems to house physicians and surgeons and where there are surgeons, there are anesthesiologists. Therefore proper information was available to him if not by his own common sense, PDR, or the internet then by a colleague who may or may not have assisted Dr. Murray in his own surgical procedures. Dr. Murray had to know that Propofol and even benzodiazepines not only could be dangerous especially in a residence but that they depress your respiratory system requiring the use of a ventilator;
- He tried to cover up his crime, lying about the timing of the death and saying he only administered 25mg of Propofol. It is a known fact that he administered at least a 100ml bottle of the drug. As 100ml is equal to 1000mg, This means that Dr. Murray administered at least 40 times the amount of Propofol he claim he gave his patient;
- It appears that Dr. Murray was giving Mr. Jackson bolus injections one after the other and apparently he was not flushing the lines. His not flushing the lines means that the tubing could be bacteria-ridden. This indicates that Dr. Murray did not care if Mr. Jackson lived or died, as he was going to kill him anyway;
- Dr. Murray also claimed he gave Mr. Jackson 0.2mg of flumazenil (the reversal agent for benzodiazepines) but none was found in his system. He claimed he gave Mr. Jackson the reversal agent of benzodiazepines, when clearly it was Propofol he continued to give him via bolus injections. There is no antidote for Propofol, but also no flumazenil was found in his system, yet Murray claimed to administer it. By the way, 0.2mg would not reverse a benzodiazepine overdose anyway;
- He failed to practice CPR properly, as he tried to resuscitate his patient while he was lying in bed. Health professionals know never to do CPR on soft surfaces; it’s obvious that the patient should be moved to a hard surface before practicing CPR;
- Even if he had the equipment to handle an emergency available to him, he voluntarily choose not to use it. In fact, the pulse ox and blood pressure cuff were in the closet in the next room;
- No EKG machine was found, yet Dr. Murray is a cardiologist;
- Dr. Murray did not call 911 immediately. Mr. Jackson was already dead when the paramedics arrived. In fact, the paramedics report shows he had no pulse, no breathing, and no blood pressure. In addition, it appears more than likely Mr. Jackson had already died hours before the paramedics’ intervention. It is obvious that Dr. Murray showed he didn’t care to save Mr. Jackson’s life by acting like that;
- Dr. Murray misled the paramedics. He failed to inform medics he had given Mr. Jackson Propofol, diazepam , and midazolam; telling them he had only administered the sedative Lorazepam and fluids to rehydrate Mr. Jackson;
- Even if Mr. Jackson died at the scene, Dr. Murray ordered Mr. Jackson to be transferred to UCLA Medical Center. He also refused to sign the death certificate, and fled to Texas. He actually claimed he "did not know he was needed". We know that if Mr. Jackson was declared dead at the hospital it would put off the time a death investigation would be declared, while if he was pronounced dead at the house the coroner would have to come and he could pronounce an investigation on the spot;
- We also ask you to take in consideration and verify the testimoniance released from Mr. Alberto Alvarez, Mr. Jackson’s bodyguard in June and actually the man who made the call to 911, who says Dr. Murray stopped to practice CPR to hide Propofol bottles in a closet next to the room where the doctor administered the drug to Mr. Jackson. This can be confirmed by the fact that actually the authorities found some bottles of the drug in a secret compartment area of the closet.
If what Mr. Alvarez said is true, this means that Dr. Murray not just stopped practicing the resuscitation attempts to his patient, but also that he did this in order to try to occult the evidences of his crime, and this obviously aggravates his position.
These are only few of the evidences which prove that Dr. Conrad Murray is responsible of second degree Murder, at least.
He was not only negligent; he acted with implied malice, as Dr. Murray acted with such gross negligence, recklessness and flagrant disregard for human life that implies an “abandoned and malignant heart”. Also the intent to kill can be proven, as Dr. Murray’s actions show without reasonable doubt the intention of injury Mr. Jackson. This was not an accident as Mr. Murray was perfectly aware of what he was doing on June 25th.
Mr. Cooley, as we still believe that Justice can be done, we ask you to change the charges against Dr. Murray from Involuntary Manslaughter to Second Degree Murder, as we strongly believe this is the crime he has to be attributed and judged for.
We are convinced that if Dr. Murray will be charged with Involuntary Manslaughter only, this will also create a dangerous precedent in American justice system. It cannot absolutely be accepted that Dr. Murray is allowed to receive probation and community service or at the most a 4 years sentence for murdering another human being.
This is not just for Mr. Jackson. This is for Justice. How can we, common citizens, trust American justice anymore if the most famous man on earth with all eyes watching cannot get proper justice? What hope would the rest of us have if we ever needed justice ourselves or for our loved ones? We sincerely hope that you will do the right choice and amend the charges against Dr. Murray.
