'Michael Jackson' the child molester now in police custody
A school bus driver by day and a Michael Jackson impersonator by night, 22-year-old Ricardo West of Detroit has been charged with molesting an 11-year-old boy.
West stands accused of exchanging explicit text messages and emails with the child from March 15th through April 9th.
According to prosecutors, the Michael Jackson impersonator also had "sexual contact" with the boy.
Among the crimes West has been charged with is first-degree criminal sexual conduct - a felony punishable by up to life in prison.
"The evidence in this case will show that this defendant acted in a way that was deliberate, calculated, and goal-directed in his criminal dealings with this child," said Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy.
While the late (and real) Michael Jackson has no connection to the individuals in this case, many Michael Jackson fans are distraught to once again read about the likeness of the late King of Pop being invoked in a child molestation case.
