It wasn't secret (they even married eventually), just these kinds of things were overlooked for decades, or even accepted as a "rock & roll" thing.
So in a way it's understandable the topic is brought up, on the other hand these cases should be judged individually and based on facts.
By singling out particular individuals the focus (and judgement) will be on them instead of the actual theme in question.

But when I cuss at MeToo it's because of how Mike is still being treated. People see something, no evidence or anything and so easily he's boycotted and what not. It seems these companies (in this case the venue boss of Paradiso Amsterdam) is driven so far into their MeToo tainted way of thinking that they don't even seem to want to bother investigating it for themselves a little. Nah let's just cancel it all.

Pathetic way of thinking and I hope we get rid of this horrible new way of thinking, or more like.... lack of any thinking, any common sense.

It is backfiring now. it will get worst when people who they like start getting accused. To think about it these "requests for cancel" are most probably initiated by a few self-righteous individuals wanting to feel important, or, as in MJ's case, might be even an orchestrated manipulation. These “requests for cancel” are definitely orchestrated manipulation. I read that there were only a HANDFUL of so-called requests to remove the statue from the McDonalds. The media manipulation made it seem as if there were hundreds of request, Remember that ALL of this is orchestrated by the media and those involved in this hoax/conspiracy. I have not heard even one person where I work, discuss or even mention this crap. Therefore, all of this cancel talk is being perpetuated by the media, and hired guns of Dan Greed, ROBson, SafeCHECK and the other perpetrators(Oprah, Geffen, Weinstein, etc.) There is notnas much public backlash as the media tries to imply.
