Controversial MJ Documentary Leaving Neverland [GENERAL DISCUSSION THREAD]

If my recollection is correct, it's been years that they have even referred to The Vanguard as The Michael Jackson Vanguard Award. I don't remember his name being associated with it for years.

Exactly! the facts is out there and their just haters and trolls who loves to ring people up. just ignore them and move on and block them.

Yes it was but they still would just say Vanguard. last year JLo got it and it was called Michael Jackson Vanguard award but they would still shorten it; at the award show, it would be called MJ Vanguard and then given to the person who earned it. To be honest, I still do not know why MTV still give out awards since they have not played videos for years.

LOL! I love this community. i don't know what MJ song i would listen to for the rest of my life. i can't choose one but it most likely be an MJ song.

Dang. i'm late to the party i didn't know Michael had his own award. i always saw the award BUT i never notice it was his! wow. i think MTV need to called it either The Michael Jackson Award or The MJ Award because if Michael made that award and his name was on it it needs to stay there. Michael is apart of MTV history. the first black artist to be on there. his name deserve to stay on there. i understand Michael not with us anymore BUT that's his award and Michael and MTV history.
 
As someone just finding this out they need most definitely talk about this award more also can some tell me what's the thing with this award? i know it from Michael but the details to this award?
 
As long they still call it The Michael Jackson Vanguard Award or The MJ Vanguard Award then i don't see nothing wrong with it. but it better have Michael name or MJ on it.

The award still has MJ name on it regardless if the media or anyone do not say it.

Michael didn't make the award. It's existed since 1984. They renamed it to Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award in 1991.

Hopefully we are okay. i read somewhere about MTV two months ago i think and i think MTV doesn't believe the mockumentary. i don't know what it was. maybe i can find it. if i do i'll post it here.

Do you know the value of this award if Michael didn't make it or your not sure? i'm just now realizing this. (not him having award name half him but you get what i'm saying.)

It has the same value as any of the other awards they give out. It's the same Vanguard Award they have been giving out since the VMAs started in 1984. They just changed the name of the award in 1991. The purpose and meaning of the award is the same, whether it has his name on it or not. Hopefully they won't actually remove his name because of LN.

Radio 2 played WBSS just after 6pm on Sara Cox’s drivetime show. Given this is one of the biggest if not biggest radio station of the U.K. this is great news.

It is on there. I have it on tape but I decided to look on Youtube hooked up on my tv cable just to be nosey and it was there.:D I can watch it on my tv now at anytime.
 
I was just watching Dan Reed being interviewed in France, has it been mentioned before that them other 2 lying scumbags have offered him money to stay on their side and spread the lies, I'm only asking because I can't believe he actually thinks it's true, he's in it for some reason and that's either money or fame, I'd never heard of him before all of this crap came out. If this has been suggested before I apologise, I may have missed a thread

Thank u for posting this, I love John he speaks so much sense and that's coming from someone is even a fan, when he said about them 3 posting pictures together and Reed being with them all the time is exactly what I was thinking, the picture of the 3 of them together turns my stomach, it doesn't scream abused victims, it's a publicity stunt and its unbelievable, my anger boils over when I listen to the disgusting things they say

As I've been talking about in other threads, Michael's radio play on any of the BBC stations has been mostly unaffected by Leaving Neverland. He's been playing regularly across their entire network. Believe it or not, he was even on Radio 1 this morning haha

If it wasn't for the BBC, I should think it would be a blackout of MJ in the UK on nationwide radio. I'm not 100% on this, but I see no indication or trace of him on any other nationwide station - not since March. Prove me wrong!
