It seems as if Jim Clemente is having pedophilic FANTASIES. These people are sick and disgusting. They actually WANT children to be abused, when they really were not; in order to satisfy their own perverted sexual gratification. In reality, these sickos are projecting themselves. They are the abusers or wanna be abusers, and it gives them pleasure to fantasize about the abuse of children. These people KNOW that Michael is innocent, because they are the ones manipulating the narrative and spewing the rumors and innuendo. I don&#8217;t want anyone to be naive enough to think Clemente and others of his ilk actually believe the$#@& they are spewing. They don&#8217;t.
 
I see on LinkedIn that Safechuck is some kind of Director of Innovation at AvatarLabs and his wife Linda Primack is also working there. Has any employee spoken about them regarding LN and the civil lawsuit?

Guardian announces plans to cut 180 jobs

The Guardian has announced plans to make job cuts in both editorial and commercial roles, as the economic shock caused by the coronavirus pandemic continues to impact the media industry.

The proposals could affect up to 180 jobs – 110 in departments such as advertising, Guardian Jobs, marketing roles, and the Guardian Live events business, with 70 coming from editorial.

The editor-in-chief, Katharine Viner, and the Guardian Media Group chief executive, Annette Thomas, said in a joint statement to staff that the pandemic had created an “unsustainable financial outlook for the Guardian” with revenues expected to be down by more than £25m on the year’s budget.

They said Guardian Media Group, the parent company of the Guardian and the Observer, was facing “unsustainable annual losses in future years unless we take decisive action” to reduce costs.

Viner and Thomas said they remained committed to keeping the Guardian free-to-read and not following the paywall model adopted by many rivals. Instead, they will concentrate on the Guardian’s digital growth and focus on its reader revenue model. ...................

My understanding is that they have shut down the sections that she&#8217;s been writing for. Not sure if she&#8217;s actually fired or if she&#8217;s now responsible for working the office&#8217;s coffee machine or something, but the place where she published her vicious opinion pieces ceased to be.

Correct me if I&#8217;m wrong. I, too, have only seen her tweet. ;)

Going by her tweet. If she had just moved sections surely she would have said. You wouldnt use the word gutted otherwise imo

Yep, Happy days re. Hadley's disappearance from the weekend edition :) - but replacements for these sections to be announced.

Update: Saturday edition to bear brunt of Guardian editorial cuts. The Guide, Weekend, Review and Travel print sections all to be closed, replacement TBA. Elsewhere parts of sport and lifestyle depts to be reduced. Plans to introduce &#8220;truly digital-first&#8221; editorial processes.

An interesting article about current criticisms of HBO's lack of diversity of talent in documentary-making. The photos of HBO staff behind the making of LN also showed a predominantly white bias.

.......Heineman announced the project on his Facebook page July 10, and the post quickly became the stage for a lively debate about the project&#8217;s lack of Black talent.

Geeta Gandbhir, the Emmy-winning doc filmmaker, was first to make the point, writing, &#8220;This is a great project. I said this to Matthew Hamachek as well, and feel compelled to ask you &#8212; in the spirit of being anti racist &#8212; why did you both, two white men opt to direct this film?&#8221;

&#8220;I want to make you aware of the asks from the black and brown community &#8211; as you have a huge platform, and the whole community needs to grapple with the issue of systemic racism in our community,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;Why was there not a director reflective of the community on this project? If there were two of you, couldn&#8217;t ONE of you have been Black or Asian? Accountability and leadership are needed at this time &#8212; you are in a great position to be a positive example.&#8221;

Gandbhir also noted that producer Sam Pollard was the only Black exec listed above-the-line on the project.

After a couple of days, Heineman posted a reply, saying he had taken some time to consider the comments and had regrets over the lack of Black talent involved. &#8220;I absolutely should have done more to diversify our Tiger crew. I wish I could go back in time and change things, and it&#8217;s my responsibility to course correct and do better,&#8221; he wrote.

Questions like this from gatekeepers can also help propagate a shift in practice very effectively.&#8221;

.....The debate is opening up a wider wound in the documentary community &#8211; to what extent should filmmakers be empowered to chronicle stories that are outside of their purview? I can&#8217;t recall a similar discussion around ESPN&#8217;s Michael Jordan series The Last Dance, for example, which had a white director across all 10 episodes. But the BLM movement is changing the world and these questions are being asked with a renewed intensity.

(But annoyed they chose the LN clip of Wade saying 'MJ asked what did you do with your underwear'). :(

2. Reed did NOT win for LN (Arthur Carey won for 'The last survivors') :pth:

(Clip shown was S'chuck talking about MJ 'doing the worst things to kids', and his mom saying that she didn't protect him 'and that will always haunt me'.)
