Could Latoya Have Had A Successful Music Career?

I always feel sorry for LaToya. Once I was at my local record store and the sales woman who knows me as an enormous MJ fan asked if I was interested in a secondhand copy of Bad Girl, she was laughing and added: 'maybe to use as a coaster?' Basically she couldn't get rid off it, no matter how cheap she offered the cd.

I do like Nighttime Lover a lot. But that might be because of the delish background vocals.

If the pop singers of today (many of who cannot sing) can do it, then had she had the right team Toya could have been also "marketed" successfully. Definitely.
 
I'd like to know WHY, just because of the success of the Jackson-5, Michael and Janet, dang near EVERY member of the Jackson family wants a music career.

Somebody needs to be an account and/or MONEY MANAGER, so that they can teach "some" of the family members how to handle their money. LOL!

Or how about a P.R. specialist in the family, somebody to teach certain members how to handle the media.

A Jackson family member who get's a LAW DEGREE would also be a welcome relief. That way, MAYBE, Brian Oxman would get the boot. LOL!

Why everybody gotta be a singer!
 
Not all of them I think Randy's kid you know the one who is not trying to be a singer goes to Harvard. Stevanna or something like that
 
yeah his first child he had with his first wife/girlfriend, the one he beat almost to death while she was carrying his spawn, Stevanna goes to Harvard, I believe her mom kept her mostly away. Good for her, she is extremely pretty too but not as gorgeous as Eliza was.

many of them wanna become singers b/c they believe they're destined to be singers .. my guess they wanna live large and have lot's of money. lol

I have always believed that Latoya should have been a model. She was a fashion icon in her time and she was just too cute. Her playboy magazine broke sales record and remains the biggest seller in history.

the reason they want to pursue it, is because its something they grew up around. it has nothing to do with the success of their parents/aunts/uncles. it happens in families where people arent successful also. its a gift that god has blessed this family with and it didnt just stop with the parents/aunts/uncles. im not saying they are gonna be as talented or as successful, but its in their dna, its basiclly apart of them. its the same reason why many athletes children are athletes, or doctors childrens are doctors, or why many kids follow in their parents/families footsteps. also they could figure out that being in the front may not be the way, and explore the other professions youve mentioned.
 
i say no because of the time she came up in. i think she could have been a very sucessful model though, she was/is beautiful(especially when she was younger)
 
Latoya's musical downfall began when she made sure to tell Joe he wouldn't be getting a penny off of her career. That's when he told her: "If I'm not involved, I'll sit on you (If I'm not gaining anything from your career, I'll destroy it)". That's when Latoya lost it.

And we all know what happened to Latoya's acting career. Remember what Joseph did to the scripts Michael sent to his office for Latoya? Remember what Joe did to Latoya's dreams of having a career in Hollywood? Anoher horror.

What did he do? This is on-topic I think since we're discussing La Toya's career but if it's not, can you PM me? I only recently started learning about the Jackson family history (never really cared for them) so I'm not really up-to-date with everything.
 
I think if La Toya had been more proactive with her career, she may have had moderate success. I think perhaps she waited around for things to come to her and wasn't as aggressive or motivated as Janet.
 
Everybody in the Jackson family sings !!!??
Genevieve, Jermasty, Jafaar, Randy, Latoya, etc..
