Dangerous 2LP 33RPM & SACD announced

Now that Dangerous MoFi is back in stock, does anyone know if the sound imbalance on tracks such as Jam have been corrected?

It was never considered an error by MoFi, so no. They released the album exactly as they intended, they said.

They haven't fixed them and don't intend to do so as according to them, the original master tapes were like this, which is in fact true but has been corrected for the original release. Will You Be There was also falsely transferred with Dolby Noise Reduction enabled.

the original 91 sounds far surperior, the only thing that makes it „worth it“ is the dynamic range but due to the balance and transfer issues it‘s not really great

I agree, especially the NJS songs lose their "edge". Those songs were supposed to sound noisy and hard hitting. Jam sounds incredibly muted in energy.

I do enjoy it as an alternate listen, though and there are some things that are clearer but nothing will top the OG.
 
Is there any information when history will be released as a mofi version?

it includes tracks from the Bad album tho, therefore it makes more sense to release Bad before HIStory

I'm 99% sure HIStory will just be "HIStory Continues" without the Greatest Hits part.
It would be pointless for MoFi to do the greatest hits section, since it's just an objectively bad sounding GH compilation, why would you "improve" a greatest hits that sounds horrible when you've already fixed the original tracks in the past? And considering that... then MoFi could just re-use their own remastered tracks for the compilation right?
Well, that's not what MoFi does at all, so that's not option either.
Not to mention, including the GH comp would make the price on HIStory sky-rocket for no reason.

Indeed. I think the original was a triple vinyl, but I pity the fools who would want a MoFi version, because, as you say, it would run into the hundreds of dollars, lol. Complete waste of time, money and plastic.

Why? HIStory Continues already had a standalone release at least once.
 
I think everyone here doesn‘t know that HIStory won‘t be released as a One-Step but as a standard Vinyl by MoFi, same as Dangerous, Blood and Invincible

$59,99 for Blood and Invincible, $119,99 for HIStory and $125 for Bad

a mint HIStory and Blood costs around 450, Invincible 250 for comparison
