Good afternoon everyone. Sorry for the lateness of the news thread. Today is my birthday and my children and husband took me out to eat for breakfast after church. I just barely got home and remembered to do the thread.

Anyways, there is no new news today but a few mentionings please check back for any updates throughout the day. Don't forget there are some new pictures of Michael doing some shopping at the Sharper Image. You may discuss it here: http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43289

Photos: The Famous Faces of AIDS

Dec. 1 is World AIDS day and around the world people gather to remember those who have died those who continue their fight against the disease. It also is an opportunity to promote tolerance and research for the disease. At a time when many children are preparing for the wonders of high school and worrying about how to fit in, 13-year-old Ryan White was diagnosed with AIDS. The teenager, who gained international notoriety for his fight to attend school, contracted the virus through blood-based products used to treat his hemophilia. The youth showed a new face to the still mysterious disease. Famous friends came to defend him, like Michael Jackson, Elton John and Greg Louganis. He died on April 8, 1990 at age 18.

Hopkins now owns a Bösendorfer, a make of piano that can cost up to £100,000. Other owners of Bösendorfers include Michael Jackson and the late Frank Sinatra.
“Playing the piano is my one abiding passion,” said Hopkins, who moved to the United States in the 1970s, then came back to Britain after 10 years, but returned to America in 1999. The tour will involve Hopkins playing the piano and telling anecdotes about his career.

Brighton enjoying FA Cup renaissance

Twenty-five years ago, Michael Jackson had released Thriller and Brighton were heading for that season's FA Cup final. Both have had chequered careers since, but Brighton can go into the new year with hopes of a strong anniversary showing.

B-Boys of the Bronx, Dancing in the Street

Nevertheless, on a recent Saturday afternoon Mr. Walker and a crew of four dancers, including the Michael Jackson impersonator Steven Clark, could be found setting up near the lion statues in front of the library. A crowd quickly assembled, and it wasn’t long before a typically impatient New Yorker was asking when the performance would start.
“Right now,” Mr. Clark said. And they began to dance.

Chris Brown not a youth, but not yet a man either

He actually sounds like his emotions aren't completely ruled by his libido. He's a young Southern gentleman -- or at least he pretends to be. And this gentleman can dance; like Michael Jackson and Usher, he doesn't just sing a song, he can make it move.

Christmas lets me be a kid again

Many moons ago, the Christmas gift I wanted most was a Malibu Barbie.

Other years, I was jonesing for a jacket like the one Michael Jackson wore in his '80s heydays, or hinting to my mom the new games my brother and I wanted for our original Nintendo.
