In a recent documentary, drummer/producer Questlove talks about the historical relevance of Shake Your Body:




He mentions (and plays) the remix, which I never really took much notice of. But what he said made me appreciate it a lot more with regards to it being among the first or even THE first proper remix at the time and scene.

Both remixes below were made by John Luongo.

Thanks for posting this, ArX. I went and watched the whole documentary. I had never seen it, go figure.

Interesting to hear the song dissected like that; I'd not really paid attention to just how cool the syncopated drumming is.

I like that they used MJ's favourite, Debussy's L'Apres-Midi d'un Faun. :yes:
 
There's also the single mix of That's What You Get For Being Polite that I've been trying to find online for awhile
