Did Michael really use and have experience with Propofol before he met Murray?

Because, from my understanding, the core of the defense's strategy is to show that Michael was the one that suggested & basically made Murray give him Propofol because he had already used it for the purpose of sleeping in the past.

Murray Defense Opening Statement

- Michael told Murray twice he had anxiety and problems with sleeping. Murray prescribed him sleep medicine but it wasn't effective for Michael.

- Michael didn't have insomnia. Michael Jackson had an absolute and through inability to sleep, not for minutes, hours. It was for days.

- In this June 27 interview, Dr. Murray told detectives about Michael's sleep problems. Michael Jackson told Murray he had inability to sleep and he could only sleep on Propofol and he always slept on Propofol when he was touring. Michael Jackson explained how to give Propofol. Murray told detectives he agreed to give Michael propofol to help him sleep. He said that he was concerned that Michael would use Propofol without him.

- Murray provided Michael Propofol for 2 months. For 2 months Michael slept, woke up and went to work. Chernoff states that Michael Jackson dies when Murray stopped giving Michael Propofol.

- Murray told detectives his goal was to find a way for Michael to sleep normally.

A long time ago, I remember hearing that Michael used Propofol during his tours to go to sleep, but I'm not sure if that was from a reliable source. Is this true or not? If so, did he ever use it when he was not touring as well?

Because by saying this, Murray's team is basically painting HIM as the victim, claiming that he was pressured by Michael to administer Propofol because it was the only solution to his inability to sleep. They're even making it sound like Murray thought it would be safe to use because Michael had already used it in the past and that he himself "explained [to Murray] how to give Propofol". Basically, I think they're trying to convey that Michael knew more about Propofol than Murray (that he introduced Propofol to Murray, and not vice-versa), and because of this, Murray willingly administered Propofol to Michael. Am I understanding their strategy correctly?

we are right in the middle of a trial here..IMO...this is an inappropriate subject to be discussing right now.

Not sure if this is helpful at all but I remember shortly after his death, a nurse came forward claiming that MJ had contacted her begging for Diprivan (aka Propofol) to help him sleep and she'd warned him against it. I just Googled and found this article. I'm not sure if her 'story' was ever verified to be true or not. Seems weird, though, if he allegedly contacted her not long before his death asking for this med IF Murray had already been giving it to him?

It doesnt matter . what he used or didnt use to sleep in the past. It doesnt matter if he asked Murray to administer
What matter is what Murray did on June 25th 2009. he was the doctor - Even if MJ asked fror that treatment for sleep it was up to the doctor to do what was appropriate for Michael's health and well being. No Matter what

I believe Michael used that method of sleeping before. it was an unconventional treatment for sleep but effective for him
There is no law against him using that method for sleeping. But Murray should have said no its not safe. and after
Murray starting administering propoful he shoudl have taken the PROPER medical proceedures in administering that
and to make sure Michael was being monitored and kept safe. He did everything just the oposite GROSS NEGLIGENCE

It is Murrays actions that are against the law and caused Michael's death
and stating my opinion here is not helping Murrays defense in any way.
Mine or you opinion will not be brought into the court room

Personally, I agree.

I'd just like to clarify that my original post does not reflect my thoughts on what actually happened - it reflects my assessment of the defense's strategy and layout.

I haven't seen any evidence that proves that Michael used Propofol to sleep during tours in the past. There were unsubstatianted rumors during the summer of 2009 reported, but they never said if it was factual.

I'd say it is irrelevant to the case, as Murray still has a choice as to whether or not to administer it, and under what conditions. His negligence is apparent in every action he chose to/not to take. It is speculative at best to determine whether Michael used propofol prior to Murray, and for what purpose. The only thing we know for sure is that Murray inappropriately administered propofol to his patient for a sleep disorder, in an improper setting, under unsatisfactory conditions, and ended up abandoning him in the end.

Moreover, the fact that he failed to mention propofol to anyone, including the paramedics and hospital staff, shows conscious guilt/intent to withhold potentially incriminating information--why do this if you are not guilty of any wrongdoing?

If Michael used propofol during his tours, then he hadn´t got it since 1997.
How could he remember and explain how it was administered?
It´s impossible.

There was talk that Michael used it on the HIStory tour but it was administered by a German anaesthesiologist. However I feel this is something that is inappropriate to discuss during a time like this.
