Dutch Fans> Tribute / memorial to Michael @ Paradiso Amsterdam this thursday.

Funny that it's artists that need all the attention they can get.

I still dunno what i should do.. I was planning on going but i saw it starts around 8PM so most likely i will have to leave again within 2 hours to get a train back since i have to work on friday. And it's not a good idea to walk back to the train station alone.
And i saw TMF will be there :S

Seems some Idols/Popstars thing if i look at the line up..urgh.. I know Boris will make a good performance coz liked the one he did for idols.. but the others i dunno or i haven't heard of them

These kind of tributes really bug me, fake wannabe shit. rather try getting to LA in time for the funeral.. tho last minute ticket prices are through the roof... anyone got some tips? willing to travel from other city's like Dusseldorf or Brussel.. man, i miss mike

Don't you think artists like Boris feel sad about Michael's death? Boris (who took the initiative) was on TV last friday with tears in his eyes (and not for publicity, but love and respect) Therefore i think we should appreciate these kinds of tributes instead of making fun of them. I appreciate the effort these artists and paradiso put in to this show. I think you should too.

I will go there, I just signed up ! ! ! ! Only because it's free. I hope they will show a MJ concert or something also... Don't know the times, but I guess I will go by car...

i was there and have a double feeling abot it.
It was a nice initiative and i liked Boris, Waylon and Milly ..
And the minute of silence plus minute of clapping...

But i felt out of place, i realised most fans there had already gone from grieving to celebrating his life...
And i am in no way ready to celebrate his life just yet.
Reality has juststarted to sink in and i will be in grieve for a long time....

It was a good show. Who was the girl who sang ''Ben'' & ''I Want You Back'''?? Wooowww what a good voice does she has.

Yes, the minutes os silence & applaus just stuck together were really great. I also had a double feeling that moment... Still has by the way. I am still sad he passed away, but I am happy he was a great musician and recorded a lot of music we all can enjoy and off course all videoclips.

Michael Jackson is not a chapter of my life which I will close. It's a neverending story.
I bought the picture disc vinyl of T25 today at the Media Markt and now I have 6 picture discs on the wall.

One More Chance / Dangerous / History / Ghosts / BOTDF / T25. I also have a Bad picture Disc but it's not white but yellow, I bought it somewhere on a recordfair. Are there any other official released picture Discs....?

I was there too and had mixed feelings. I cried several times during the show.
But feeling the love that was in the crowd got me going and I sang my heart out for Michael! The ending got me crying again though, with the footage of MIchael :(

Yeah i really feel the same way as you guys. I stood there (alone) between some beer drinking friends and just out of place. I felt like crying while everybody was partying. Just felt emotional.

But on the other hand i was so full of respect for the people who came to Paradiso (3.500 or so) and the artists who gave their tribute to Michael. It was awesome being there but just too soon maybe. Would be awesome to have a party like this one every 29th of august.

I was there in Amsterdam as well, but not in Paradiso. I was planning on going there but i didn't make it on time. I had to pick up two friends(die-hard MJ fans) from Den Haag first...we got traffic problems, we couldn't find Paradiso(without GPS, it wasn't working)...so we got there after 8 o clock...and the venue was packed at that time..BUT..we went to the 'leidseplein' where they had set up this big screen and a few peolpe were there.

But after like 5 minutes it was PACKED, and the atmosphere was very nice. IMO the artists and bands were VERY good. My eyes started to get teary when the whole thing was over and they showed images of Michael....but all in all very worth it to come from Groningen to Amsterdam, yes.

I just couldn't help but thinking at times 'Are all of these people REAL fans or sudden-fans? That
simply like his music now, right after his death? ' Cause you know...it's not like the music wasn't there before...it's just something i will never understand about people in general.

I was there too, and I found it really amazing! It was hard, especially when they showed these pics of Michael smiling and hearing Gone Too Soon, but it meant a lot for me to be there with people who really admired him and I really got goosebumps from all the applauses and stuff.
There was so much love!:)

Boris is some sort of a friend of mine and I can tell you that he indeed organised this because he's been a MJ fan for yeaaaaars.
He used to moonwalk in front of the girls at elementary school to make an impression on them, but they just all find him very weird...hahaha. Funny story he onces told publicly.

Here's my video compilation of the evening;
