'Faking Michael' Podcast Out Now

what i am missing in the podcast series are 5 points:

1.

more details about the successfull lawsuit from vera serova against the estate. why is this barely mentioned? it was a huge thing and even successfull! the estate had to remove those tracks from the album. I kind of find it weird that the lawsuit isnt a big part of the series, with outtakes of the court hearings.

2.

the cascios got a lot of money after LN aired and now they even want more than 200mio on top! this is another big big thing and not even mentioned at all. it all comes back to the cascios wanting MONEY and this is not mentioned enough in my opinion. And I strongly believe that from the beginning the cascios blackmailed the estate to do whatever they want them to do (buying their fake songs) because otherwise they would accuse michael of ugly behaviour.

3.

frank cascio was pushed against the wall in this interview:
Why isnt this part of the podcast series?

4.

The Cascios, especially eddie, are acting so arrogant and weird. you can see in their eyes (just like wade) that they exactly know the value of their connection to Michael Jackson. I think the psychological behaviour behind this is worth an analysis.

5.

Teddy Riley admitted on Vlad (Youtube) that the voice is not Michael's. How could this statement completely be left out in the podcast?

Lets hope all those subjects still get enough attention in the next upcoming (and last?) epoisode. But in general the repeats make it very unattractive for me to listen to the whole series again. I feel like the whole story could have told in half the time if the repeats had been left out.

Point 1 - If you listen to episode 12 it's clear this is left for episode 13. He says it's coming up. The whole thing has been presented in a chronological timeline. It makes sense to leave this til last.

Point 2. No one, absolutely no one outside of the Estate and the Cascios knew about this until a few weeks ago.

I think points 3, 4 and 5 are more than addressed throughout the 12 episodes.

point 1: ok, i am just in episode 11. thanks

point 2: of course, but the public now knows since a few weeks, before the podcast was released. But I assume it will be mentioned in future episodes. i hope.

point 3,4,5: Great, will listen today.

btw: how many more episodes are coming? or is it depending on the development of the whole cascio tragedy, what comes next with them? So the podcast is kind of "never-ending" until the drama has an end one day? So then the book "Faking Michael" will never really be up to date, unless it will be re-released one day?

I've seen Damien mention Ep.13 on X but I'm not sure if that's meant to be the last one.

EDIT - cannot now find mention of Ep.13 but here's info from Oct 7 re Ep12

Adding up to what zinnia already said there's gonna be only one more episode. According to the preview at the end of Ep 12 the next ep will focus on the Serova Vs Sony lawsuit.

Damien also said on a tweet that he'll talk about the Bible album at some point in the episode, and would also include the interview where Teddy Riley admitted to the Cascio tracks being fake.

He's also working on it right now, as we speak lol.

In fairness, it hasn’t. He’s jumped from the production of Michael to the earliest origins of the Cascio tracks to MJ’s last sessions to the Sony server theft. Not that that’s an issue necessarily (I think it makes the most narrative sense), but it’s fair to wonder why certain topics have gotten more attention than others by the 85% point.

I know I’m regurgitating what others have already said here, but damn, this podcast really changed how I look at Teddy Riley. From scrapping Michael’s planned bridge for Hollywood Tonight, and replacing it with his own because he wanted royalties for the song, to directly censoring the line “[…] because she’s only 15!” on that same song because he personally didn’t like it, man…

So I never liked 'Hollywood Tonight' either (I think the original would have been much darker a la 'Dangerous' or Who Is It') but when i heard the demo the vocals at least were already so much better. So now I'm thinking:

Did teddy Riley deliberately made HT awful and overprocessed to make it sound more like the Malachi stuff and so the Malachi stuff more like the real MJ stuff..?

one question: not all 12 Cascio songs got leaked, right? We only know the 3 songs from the MICHAEL album? It sounds like a lot of fans got/bought the songs back in the day? But they never leaked?? That is so weird...

It was just bad auto tune mostly. It was trendy.

really? can you post the links? i dont find them on youtube.
As already mentioned, 'Bible' is a good keyword. But just a search for Cascio tracks or search the individual titles and they'll pop up. I don't want to post the links but you'll find them there, in their "demo" form

Semi-related: this is far from perfect, but I maintain that the remix of “Stay” is genuinely a fantastic song and, with some lyrical adjustments, MJ would’ve sounded absolutely extraordinary on it.

All of the songs are on this channel:

thanks! my goodness... all the cascio songs sound so cheap and not michaelish. super sad what has happened. f*ck the estate. f*ck the cascio FAMILY (not just eddie and frank. they are all in this together. shame on them!)

I am at Ep. 7. Crazy story!

Do you think Hold my hand got leaked by Cascio family/team? Or is it too wide thought..

I'm listening to it now, interesting! I remember immediately thinking: wtf, these are fake tracks, this isn't Michael. But experts said it was really Michael and that they had worked with him in the studio, Teddy Riley and all, so I thought, who am I, with my cheap speakers and amateur ear, to say that it isn't Michael?

It gets crazier every time I listen to those raw demos that they actually fell for it.

maybe the cascios already blackmailed the estate back then with accusing michael of abuse if they dont take the fake songs? just a guess. but there MUST be a reason why weizman and branca sticked to the fake songs. will we ever find out??

On Youtube too:

Money, lots of money was probably spent on those songs and they didn't want to have wasted it.

Not really much of a reason to give Branca and Co any slack here in my opinion.

Because the older we get & as time passed we've had so many multitracks & heard layers of him....its actually funny now because no guidedamn they thought that was mj. I will never forget when I heard the 7even tracks from Jason & this was like 2008....so when I heard breaking news....i was like ikyfl....they went & got this dude? All I listen to is michael jackson & ur gonna bluntly tell me this is his voice? Just like they lied about using nasa tech for wembley....

i am also confused by this sony hack. was there only one hack? i remember beginning of the 2000s that something similar happened and fans hacked the server and downloaded unreleased tracks and then leaked them? or didnt leak? i dont remember. and someone ended up in prison? am i mixing up something or is this the hack from faking michael?
