edit- thats my gal lol shes got strong, passion, original artistry, which reflects in her imagery. tribal , knighthood, i can count alot of influence. Actual quite emotional seeing her - she reminds me of my ..i had a therapist for a while (whilst divorcing & all the pleasure surrounding that can bring- i hasten to add.let me just say i'm not too cookoo :ROFLMAO: ). Lovely lady.

we must maybe get this thread up n running oh god I LOVED this thread SO ,SO immersed in this one. we were up beyond midnight posting here NOW VIDEOS ! go !go !go! like Michael will say haha

wend, I'm posting another Toyah vid. The one I already posted. When we were getting this thread up and running I wanted to post some pics of her but could only find ones from when her pop career was in full swing. She still looked totally different to anyone else but, for me, it just didn't work. So I'm not fussed on those photos. Don't like the songs. Didn't like the outfits. I'm talking about 1982 - 83 onwards. 1981 was still fine. It was after that where I felt she lost a bit of her edge. But kudos to her for still being different.

These videos, THIS is Toyah! This is what she was like. So I think this outfit - and the awesome jewellery - deserves to be over here as much as the It's A Mystery outfit. And her hair, of course. No-one had hair like her. No-one.

I'm not really into Derek Jarman's work but I did like this. We saw it in the cinema when it came out. Looked great on the big screen. Toyah was good as Miranda. Very punk, as you can imagine, which worked for the character.

This is a bit of a cheat. Lily Cole is / was a model. As far as I can tell, she's recorded a couple of songs so barely qualifies as a musician. But the following photos are from one of my fave ever photo shoots. Vogue, 2005. Photos by Tim Walker.

The horse on her delicate chiffon ..... she looks like a candy cane..Look at the ribbons - these pictures and poses are exquisite ! I love them ! I love them yes yes yes !
Must get this thread up and running again ..had so, so , so , sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much fun on this one.
