I hope this will be good but I'm not excited one bit. I wish they would have made a proper Ghostbusters 3. They could also have taken the idea that the old team trains a new team from the Extreme Ghostbusters cartoon. After years of waiting they make a reboot like this. :(
 
I'm disappointed that this is really going to be released, disappointed that this is happening. Hollywood has gotten lazy; every movie doesn't need to be remade and/or rebooted.

Bill Murray wasn't interested in doing a sequel with the rest of the original cast and now Harold Ramis is no longer with us, so they're trying to go a different route with a female cast. Let it GO!

The closest thing we've gotten to ''Ghostbusters 3'' is the video came that came out on PS3/360/Wii

Yeah. That game was great. It was fun to interact with the original cast and I liked the gameplay. I couldn't have asked a better game as a fan. I'm glad that it got made.

That looked ok but I'm not sure what to think about this. I like the visuals and the ghosts look good. I really want to be excited about this but I'm not. Ghostbusters movies need a sequel not a reboot.
 
One thing i'll say is the stuff at the beginning was kinda misleading considering this is supposed to be a reboot. Also even if this reboot doesn't end up being to your liking after you see it, guess what? The original 1984 film is not going anywhere. Remember that.
 
I think I will wait and watch it on Foxtel. I really liked the first 2 and I thought the trailer to me was a bit underwhelming.

That's fine but let's be clear about something with trailers. There are 4 different kinds of them: Bad Trailers to Good Movies, Good Trailers to Bad Movies, Bad trailers to Bad Movies and finally Good Trailers to Good Movies. For me, the film is not good but is not bad either. It was ok.
 
Not that I am appose to females playing the lead in Ghostbusters but.... I am appose with totally changing the main characters I grew up with... I would buy into these 4 as ghostbusters as a sequel over a reboot much easier.
 
People should stop going to the movies to watch remakes and reboots to show the studios the public is sick and tired of them rehashing ideas messing up with successful classics. Having a female cast as ghostbusters wasn't even an issue for me; remaking such classic many of us grew up with and making the movie as it were a feminist problem were the actual issues.
 
I would like to see reboots of films that tanked. Eg. Howard The Duck (1986) etc rather than films that have been successful....it looks like it's riding on the coattails so to speak. What's next an all male version of Steel Magnolias ?(1989)

We have an OCEAN'S ELEVEN female film in the works. Examples of great reboots done right: BATMAN BEGINS (2005), STAR TREK (2009) & DREDD (2012).

Dont forget Casino royal:) the trek reboot wasnt liked trekkies.:no: I saw this Ghostbrasters garbage lost $70 mil so a sequel is unlikely, no one wants to see fatties and fuglies:rofl: ruin a classic:mat:

This is gonna be the last time I respond to you. You can't speak for all Trekkies. Also i'm not concerned about that. I'm not a Trekkie. Also it's one thing to not like GHOSTSBUSTERS reboot (I didn't either) but to talk about their looks and weight. That's uncalled for and you should be ashamed of yourself. Take your sexist BS somewhere else away from this community and grow up.
