Have you listened to MJ's whole discography?

I’m not very interested in anything before the 1980s, to be honest. There are a couple exceptions (ā€œMusic & Me,ā€ ā€œJust a Little Bit of You,ā€ most of Destiny), but I haven’t heard any of those albums in full.

A lot of underrated bangers in those years that I rarely see anyone talk about. For quite a long time I rarely listened to the early years and only really knew the usual stuff from the Motown years. Later when I got into collecting I started listening to those early albums and really enjoyed them.

Here are some of my suggestions. This list doesn’t include the obvious ones and I really tried to keep it shortšŸ˜…
Motown:
- Chained, Standing in the shadows of love
- Don’t know why I love you, 2-4-6-8, One more chance, La La
-darling dear
-Sugar Daddy!!!
-The wall, petals, maybe tomorrow
-whatever you got I want, I am love
-call of the wild, time explosion
-Buttercup
-doggin’ around
-Dear Michael

Epic:
-keep on dancing, style of life
-Do what you wanna, different kind of lady, music’s takin’ over

Definitely at least listen to Destiny from start to finish.

I'd also recommend "Different Kind of Lady".

Got To Be There is actually one of his best albums. Like it has as many classics and beautiful songs as Off The Wall and Blood on the Dance Floor, crazy enough.

Yes, I’ve listened to the whole kit and caboodle many times over by now.

I actually find the J5 albums a breeze to listen to as it’s extremely catchy pop music and each album is roughly about 35 minutes, and I’m a J5 fan so it’s genuinely enjoyable to me.

The first few Jackson’s albums I find to be a bit of a chore, although there’s tracks like Enjoy Yourself and of course Blues Away which is an important track, but really Destiny is where they come into their own as the complete package and Triumph is, well….its a triumph.

I completely get it if the J5 70’s bubblegum pop isn’t your thing, but every fan of solo adult Michael should listen to Destiny and Triumph at the very least. They’re incredible albums and with Off The Wall in between, can be taken as a soul, funk, r&b, disco trilogy, with Triumph moving more towards the Thriller 80’s pop sound.

Both Destiny and Triumph are absolutely essential listening.
