Heartbreak Hotel appreciation thread

"Heartbreak Hotel" is amazing. The funk is just, overwhelming, and the best part is the guitar solo, adds that nice tough of power. It sounds best on the Bad Tour, with the massive call and response "Hee-Hees", just takes it through the roof.

"Triumph" and "Destiny" are probably more essential than.... "Michael" and "Xscape. Actually, they definitely are, but aside from those, they're as essential as any other album he made. They're the most fascinating releases by far.

Funny that all those masterminds could never create a decent album without MJ.

Jermaine actually tried at least. The same year his brothers made "Triumph", he got with Stevie Wonder to make "Let's Get Serious".

But uh. Meh. Meh.

Meh.

1988 tour version is the best for me. Album version is just 'meh'.

I love the piano from The Jackson's Live Album

I love how they kept Greg's piece to segue into Shes Out Of My Life. The first real theatrical section Michael has ever done on stage I think, connecting the two songs together.
