Unlike 'Butterflies' and 'Break Of Dawn', for many fans 'Heaven Can Wait' evokes negative and sad feelings because they connect its lyrics with Michael Jackson's untimely death.

That's not why I hate it...I just think it's a terrible song

People may not love MJs vocals but I think the production deserves its kudos. It's only aged like fine wine, so many small touches that add to the listening only getting better and better with repeats. Ironically very 21st century for a Song from '98.
