How could we?

How can we live in a world where you are being called strange if you love from all of your heart and really mean it? Where you're being called strange because you really, truly believe that the world can be healed? Where you are being called strange for caring for children and being the voice of the voiceless? Where you are being called strange if you are a humble person? Where you are being called strange for thinking that the skin of your colour does not matter? Where you are being called strange for believing that the world can unite as one? How can we live in a place where you are being judged before having tried hard to seek the truth? Where people think that a man is guilty until proven otherwise? In a world where the media has taken so much control that it can crucify a person without any kind of hard proof? A place where we burn down the forests, drain the seas and kill our own kind? This is the world we live in - this is where we're at.

I am sick, tired and ashamed that I am living in this place. If God is looking at the world right now, he would say "What have I done? What have I created?"

But yet there is hope - our children. If we teach our children how the world should be, it will be that way. We can change the world through our children. We have to tell them how much we love them, every single day. We have to give them boundaries and teach them to be grateful for what they are and be humble towards other people - we have to teach them the way of love and understanding. If we do this, we will eventually heal the world.

In the end, it's all up to YOU. You have the key to our future. You have to look at the man or woman in the mirror, take a really good look at yourself and make the changes. If you don't want to do it for yourself, do it for the children and in the sake of this planet. It's the next generation that has to continue healing the world, but on a larger scale.

Heal The World make it a better place for you and for me and the entire human race.

Rest In Peace Michael,
I Love you more!

i agree with every word you wrote, however i think michael realised the mountain that needed climbing was getting higher and higher.
you will never get everyone to see your point of view or how you would like the world to be.
humans will be humans and will continue to create death and destruction.

we only have to look at how some parents are to see how the future will develop.
the children are the future but unfortunately present role models are letting them down.
i would like to see a positive but i cant, not after the decades of violence we have all witnessed.
michael did touch millions of childrens hearts and i think they will carry on trying to spread the word.
there is not enough love in this world as we all know, money makes this world go round.
i really hope for the childrens sake that we can all carry on spreading the word and carry on helping those less fortunate than us.

Great post and I agree.

Sometimes I feel ashamed to be a human being living on this Earth. The only thing that can change it is us. We are the future of this world, our children are and so on.

You know (I just got reminded of this), I was reading about how someone had an encounter at the store where one of Michael's songs were playing and she started singing it. Then some little boy comes up to her and says something like, "My mommy told me he's burning in hell now." Broke my heart to pieces when I read that.
I mean really, it's sick people like that who downgrade such wonderful people like Michael and don't want to put any hope into this world. It's all about money, money, money.

I'm willing to "heal the world" but it's kind of hard to do with just one person. :/

I agree. There is so much in this world that I think is really discusting. One of them is that the media has so much pover and the short term thinking, that it is all about what brings the most money right now no matter what the consequences will be. Everything seems to be about personal gain and if that hurts somebody else that is there one fault because they didn´t see it coming. Sometimes I wish we could start over and live in a world that was not so commersial, and there the medias role once agian was to inform and not "infotainment".I mean not only about this but there are so any other things that maybe could have been avoided if people had been making decisions base on the best information available.

people get picked on and made fun of for many different reasons. for being fat, for being bald, for being colored, for being disabled, for being poor, etc. i wish people realised everyone has a heart. has a soul. has feelings. and everyone hurts.

in a perfect world there would be no hate. no poverty. no injustice. and maybe one day earth will be like that. thats my hope anyway even if i dont get to see it

Your post made me cry, mainly because of this reason:

This performance from Michael really touches me. As far as for me to say this peformance as well as Michael wasn't of this world.

So true...beautifully written, really from the heart. I believe in everything you wrote passionately. But what are we to do? When the world is controlled by people's greed for money? There doesn't seem to be much good left, as all good tried gets eradicated by the same thing...How much better would the world be if love made the world go round rather than money?

Like you, I dispair of this world. Focusing on the little beautiful things are the only things that keep me smiling. I'm hoping the life after this one is what we desire...And I hope Michael's enjoying every second of it, revelling in the peace, love and respect. That's my dream anyway...
