I thought the photograph was taken in 1999? That was when Invincible was supposed to be released before MJ delayed it. The Arno Bani photographs were taken in the same year.

Does anybody know, when photo from invincible album cover was taken? I thought it was somewhen from 90s. But recently i noticed that MJ hairstyle look really similiar to his Invincible era hairstyle... So could it be taken somewhen in 2000-20

The pixelated font and eye is just to look futuristic, probably to symbolize the futuristic-sounding songs like "2000 Watts" and "Threatened".

They can also be used to invoke futurism. It's interesting how they can also be used to invoke retroism, though.

Personally I didn't like the cover. I liked the liner note pictures better.

As a cover, it would have worked well if Invincible had had more danceable songs like Hollywood Tonight.

What colour Invincible album cover did you buy?

I found out today that Invincible was released on MiniDisc. I thought it was only on CD, vinyl and cassette. I also learned that each format was available in all colours... So I thought I'd ask this.
