yeah they use him and any other artist,but especially him because he has been hugely profittable over the years and he carried the whole industry for many years. the thing is with a Mcihael Jackson album if you love him you gonna copies, if you loath him you gonna buy other artists projects to offset him. but no matter how you look at it, you gotta go through him in some form or fashion especially from 79-92. I mean the whole Grunge and Nirvana and Garth Brooks thing was rooted in that they knocked MJ out of Number 1 etc.... who else has that happen to them??

interesting thing about this project is that MJ just gave them mixes and no new footage, just the music and kept it real basic and the people have spoken. that is the mark of standards there. but alll artists are being used because they are the HO and the Business is the Pimp, but a Cat like Michael Jackson flipped that script because during Motown through early Sony days he was being pimped like crazy,but once he got that publshing and Masters he flipped the script and they can't stand him personally,but ask yourself how many of those other board members have new Homes, cars and college funds paid off and summer homes because of One Michael Joe Jackson?? the whole industry eats off his plate but with the publishing game he got which is tight he eats back and has desserts.

How I see it? As a blend between various factors.

Firstlly Mike won the trial.

Sony's bosses changed, Sony's politic has changed also. The partenship with Michael grew stronger and we have a more active Michael toward the bussiness -----> financial strenght.

After that he leaded a very quiet tranquile life with zero scandals.

Then we have a returning him in the US, when nobody expected him to have the courage to do it, few visits in London, one in Japan, Vegas surroundings, quiet normal ones...

The 2 brilliant photoshootings for Vogue and Ebony, and a noticeable changing in fashion from Michael's part. A happy healthy, elegantlly, sharp dressed Michael.

The Thriller25 idea and promo - with the cute mixes, shiney covers and books, the amusing glossy Thrillicious Some Life Promo...

So you can see, Mike success with Thriller 25 is not an random one, and the same is not the result of some 'good' conspiracy.... It's more like a spring wind coming from both Sony and MJ camp. The media folks need to bow down, they cannot do nothing when all these forces act armoniouslly.
