Peter Lopez, the music attorney who was close to Michael Jackson, left a suicide note that was completely mute on as to why he took his life. This is according to sources connected to the situation telling TMZ.

According to TMZ, we were told that one-page, handwritten note mentioned his affection for his wife and kids and asked for forgiveness. But it did not even hint at why Lopez would end his life.
On Friday, Peter dropped his kids off at school at about 9:00 AM. When he returned home, we were told Lopez went to the backyard and shot himself in the head. This is according to a source close to the family tells TMZ

It was told that people who were close to Peter thought he appeared “stressed out” in the days leading up to his death. But he did not tell anyone, including his family, what was pressing him.
Lopez and Catherine Bach were married for 20 years. They had two children together. Peter Lopez suicide has added to the mystery prevailing demise of pop star Michael Jackson. Is there any concrete missing link? Right now, no one knows for sure.

In addition to professional association with Michael Jackson, Lopez had worked with Jackson on the 25th anniversary of “Thriller”. He had also served as a co-producer on the movie “Selena” and was an attorney for “The Eagles.”

I hope they aren't related, that would just add more complications. It's a shame he felt the need to take his life if it really was a suicide.

He was involved in music publishing-he even had his own label. IMC Records was a new label launched by Peter Lopez himself during the time he was working with Michael. It is believed he was giving Michael valuable advice in regards to his Sony/ATV catalog.

http://books.google.com/books?id=Ah...al Music Content" records peter lopez&f=false -> on the right, in the "En Breve" section, in the middle..

What did this man actually know?

I believe this was connected with Michael.

His wife is walking around the house asking "Why would Peter do this? Why?"

She's completley clueless, which means she saw no sign of him as suicidal.

What problems of Peter made suicide the ONLY solution?

This is all TOO coincidental, and the re-issue of the michael/jason news a day before Peter's suicide. I believe that was used as a distraction.

And this "suicide" was also a warning for others who know things to KEEP SHUT!

Well people who kill themselves don't go around telling people they act like everything is fine

exactly. ppl are posting like they actually knew this guy and what his thoughts were. everyone puts a face on to others when they are depressed. unless some legit evidence comes out to support that this wasnt just a suicide then its irrelevent.because anyone can make a theory up

He did talk to detectives after MJ passed.

Quotes from Peter Lopez (Michael's lawyer who committed suicide) concerning the police investigation of Michael Jackson's death:

"It is more strange as more information comes out."

"We don't know all the facts."

"Something went terribly wrong."
"He (Michael Jackson) should not be dead."

The interview was recorded 7 weeks after June 25th, 2009!

In the meantime a lot happened .. his suicide may have many reasons and need not necessarily be in context with MJ.

Peter Lopez in August 2009: Jackson Death Mystery 'Will Be Solved Soon'

Jackson Death Mystery 'Will Be Solved Soon'

The mysterious circumstances surrounding Michael Jackson's death should be cleared up very soon, his former lawyer has told Sky News.

Peter Lopez said he expected the toxicology report to be released in the near future.

The report has been completed but will not be made public while a police investigation is still ongoing.

Mr Lopez told Sky News: "We should hear within the next week. I believe the LAPD are doing a very thorough investigation.

"It's been seven weeks since Michael died, it was announced the reports would be out in five to six weeks, so we are a couple of weeks beyond that which is an indication of the professionalism of the LAPD, making sure they get it right."

Mr Lopez also feels his former client's death could possibly have been avoided.

"I think it's too early to say, we don't have all the facts but he should not be dead, that's pretty clear.

"Something went terribly wrong and we'll find something out about that very shortly."

The lawyer paid tribute to the detectives conducting the investigation into the King of Pop's death, saying he realised they were in a very difficult situation and they were doing "terrific work" to make sure "the right results come out".

DEA agents searched a pharmacy in Las Vegas earlier this week to find prescription documents for Jackson from his former doctor Conrad Murray.

They have also searched the doctor's premises, and while he is not an official suspect, Dr Murray is the subject of a manslaughter investigation.

Mr Lopez also feels the media frenzy surrounding the singer's death, as well as continuing questions over the paternity of his children, is irresponsible.

"I think it's very unfortunate these sorts of things get talked about," the lawyer said.

"The children are probably going to hear about these kind of scandalous things. They are bright, young, wonderful kids.

"It's very hurtful and harmful to have this sort of talk out there, I think it's a little irresponsible frankly."
