Is the hatefulness and tone in 2300 chasing members away ?? I say yes

Some praise for a job well done :) She made me cry becuase that is how i wish to be thought of by our members
I always think Im not liked very much by members for the work I have to do here do and this means a lot to me.

My days of posting have dwindled to virtually nothing since we lost Michael, but not because of what some may think. Essentially the tone, contempt, hate, and general disrespect of some members has turned me away.

Many of the Jackson family members do tend to behave and say things that leave a bad taste many times. The judgement of some of them in their decisions and actions is of course iffy at best. But with that said, what I have witnessed in 2300 Jackson Street totally turns me away. Yes, this is a Michael Jackson forum, not a Jackson family board per se. Of course we know Michael was not too pleased with some things his siblings and parents may have done or said in the past. But to totally negate, belittle, and constantly bring hatred into every situation involving family members just has gone too far in my mind.

I want to thank you personally for your fairness, positivity, and ability to say what I wish I could think of to say, and in the way you word/approach matters and members. Whatever the reasons for a certain group of members to consistently bring ugliness, sarcasm, nitpicking every word of something someone says, hatred into any and every situation r/t family members and even Siedah Garrett now, it has gone too far, for me at least.

Last, but not least, the members that consistently bring me to disgust enough to log off are Twinklee, Jaydom, Elusive, Memefan. Surely I can't be the only long time member feeling as I do? The image that an outsider reading much of 2300 Jackson St. threads must at times think has to include the messages/beliefs that Michael held to and spoke of repeatedly has been lost, disregarded, and sullied by a select few members.


Thanks for listening; thanks for the time, patience, and respect you consistently hold onto and reflect in your posts. To me, you are consistently and truly an excellent representative of and for Michael Jackson for MJJC.

we are sorry it has come to this and its nothing personal, just measure that must be taken to protect our board.
Your posting privileges have been removed from the 2300 forum until further notice. Due to the continuous insults and attacks on the Jackson family and your opinions not posted in a respectful constructive manner. You have been warned numerous times in the threads to calm down the disrespectful tone in that forum and have ignored the requests. This is not how we planned to solve this problem but due to lack of respect for the staffs requests its the only way to gain back respect for our board and some dignity in the 2300 forum.

Bottom line: The actions by a choice few have caused great damage to MJJC not only was our reputation being attacked outside the board, It caused an exodus of members which took away much of our revenue to support this board. All we asked was for members to post with Respectful, constructive criticism and cut out the hateful insults and bashing in every thread. There are better ways to voice our opinions without all that .. We have tried to be tolerant and have asked many, many times in as many ways that are possible only to be ignored or insulted by the members for trying to enforce these guidelines. If it comes down to losing our MJJC board or a few members who want to continue with the hate, the Bashing , the mocking and insults ...

We will choose "whatever" effective action is necessary to save this board from ridicule and the exodus of its members.

We hope you will choose MJJC and continue to post and be active in joining with us to celebrate our love of Michael Jackson and the upcoming release of BAD 25. Can we work together to insure MJJC is looked on with respect and remains a mainstay in the fan community for many years to come

When we see you are able to post in a respectful constructive manner on the board even when you disapprove or disagree we will reconsider our actions sometime in the future.

That was wonderful and she's right. Like i said in my last post, In every single post you make, you tell your side with respect and love. When members do/say something wrong, you are there replying to them in a certain tone that is calm, sweet and to the point (Personal experience) :) . That is why most members gravitate toward you if they want to share their feelings about a certain situation on this board or just in their personal life. Example : Garden. :D

I wont be surprised if you get more PM's like that :)

you might want to check the setting to make sure no23oo members have acces to the rest of the board.


xthunderx2 I seem to be having a problem posting in the Bad25 forum..maybe other forums too..I dont have time to check it all out right now .I have to go to work,,,,I will check back here when I get home....Thank you ..

We need to post a public announcement in 2300 becuase some member are clueless of what went down yesterday and some posts are still showing a mocking attitude and disirespect. They need to know whats up ..

As some of you may already know, Posting privileges of some members have been removed from the 2300 forum until further notice. Due to the continuous insults and attacks on the Jackson family and opinions not posted in a respectful constructive manner. Members have been warned numerous times in the threads to calm down the disrespectful tone in this forum and have ignored the requests. This is not how we planned to solve this problem but due to lack of respect for the staffs requests its the only way to gain back respect for our board and some dignity in the 2300 forum.

2300 Posting guideline
You don't have to like or respect everything the Jackson's say or do but you are required to post your opinions or disagreement in a respectful critical manner without insults, name calling or mocking. Please do not call the Jackson's out of their name when posting on MJJC. Any member having Three (3) posts reported / deleted or edited for disregarding these rules. will have their access removed from The 2300 forum or posting privileges denied in any thread about the Jacksons.


  • Disrespecting Michael as a way to 'big up' or defend other family members. This happens, whether subtly, or quite overtly and it will NOT be tolerated. This is a MICHAEL JACKSON board, and he will remain the number 1 priority here. There are other places on the web where you can do this, but not here please.


  • Over the top name calling of Jackson family members. We understand there are a lot of issues with the Jackson family, concerning their actions. We are not saying you cannot criticise and question this, but please do it in a way that doesn't resort to excessive and nasty insults or name calling. In other words, tone it down.


  • Constant derailing of threads about certain family members. If a thread is about say, Janet on a magazine cover, please keep it to that topic. There is no need to take that thread back to what Janet said/did who knows when. If we don't enforce this, the board becomes a free for all and if not for anything other than organisational purposes, a nightmare.


  • Drug addict claims about Michael Jackson in the final stages are not welcome here, or in any other part of MJJC. The autopsy report refutes this, there is NO proof that this is the case, so please do not bring that false information here claiming it to be true.



These guidelines apply across the board.
 Posting privileges can also be denied in any thread about the Jacksons at our discretion for members who continue posting in a disrespectful manner outside 2300.

I have edited the guideline above for 2300 to include some important bullets that were in the prior guidelines
and also to state that these rules apply across the board in Jackson threads, becuase some are continuing this
behaviour in Jackson threads outside of 2300
 
Just a heads up I have given Anniesnotokmj access to 2300. We have been discussing it and she asked when she could have access again. Im going to give her a a 2nd chance. I Asked her to be sure to read the posting rules and guidleines.
