I was just thinking yesterday that even though Thriller is celebrating 25 years of greatness... Is there any other music currently out that sounds better than Thriller / Michael?

I couldn't think of any. Not that I listen to everything on the music scene or watch all the video channels showing videos for hours at a time, but I just don't feel that anyone's sound "today" is BETTER than the album, Thriller25 and THE MAN HIMSELF.:punk:

I'm sure someone is going to disagree and start naming all these other artists with CDs out, but I thought about this after last week's MTV show, America's Best Dance Crew giving tribute to Michael and Thriller.

The music was so alive that it didn't seem like it was just a 25 year old album. That's because it's not. It's 10 times more than that. It's Royalty and nobody else's music comes close.

if anything sounded better or was visually better it would have sold more copies so there is your guage. MJ sold over a million copies of T25 since its release only a month ago around the world. Numbers dont lie.

And to think about it, nothing even comes close to Thriller, it is up there with 104 mil sold world wide and counting, do you know who the second best seller is? It is AC/DC at 42 mil… there is no comparison… Thriller is again selling and may go beyond 106 mil this year.

I think Michael can take advantage of the heat generated by Thriller 25 to use it effectively for his new album. This reminds me when he wanted to release Invincible I think he released Thriller 19th anniversary special bonus CD first.

I agree SOOOOO much. Michael's style and music was SO good that it appealed to EVERYONE! When I was watching America's Next Dance Crew, I was thinking, 'now that's real music'. I agree, the music was so alive and fresh and ..... I can't even explain it LOL!! It was like a breath of fresh air. *SIGH*

Ok, I'm gonna go get my ipod now!!!!!

Can I see those numbers? It's a bit hard to believe it's sold a million already.

It has definitely sold over a million according the sale figures recorded in countries that are listed in mediatraffic. In the first week it sold 381,000, second week it sold 253,000, third week it sold 208,000 and then the fourth week it sold 185,000 copies. Add all of those together and you get 1,027,000 copies sold. Also the mediatraffic figure doesn't cover every country in the whole world it doesn't include most of Asia, the Middle East, India and pretty much all of Africa so the sales figure for Thriller 25 is actually higher than 1,027,000.

there is no comaparison MJ/t25 is best all time.

when i hear that MJ is the only artist that is willing to mess with a mona lisa like classic such as billie jean..and make it work...when remixes of MJ's music work even with amateur remixers..when i saw that dance competition that everybody in this thread is talking about..

when i hear the will i am version of tgim, where it's clear that mj isn't about following trends, but just making you feel good and still commercializing the beat all at once....when i hear for all time...recorded years ago and sounding ahead of any ballad just released today by anybody else..... and..yes...the numbers that t26 is selling...

there's no doubt...MJ is the best.

all these classical music fans coming onto this site..saying they were about nothing but classical music...until they heard MJ...all that says it all.

also..when MJ got us spoiled into not accepting albums that have less than seven hits on them...

i actually got t25 for the new ballad alone...and still don't feel like i wasted my money. only mj can take me back to the future like that...and apparently, millions of others..

Haha, you're okay. Typos kill you sometimes don't they. They are gut wrenchers. I hate when that happens.

And, yes, I want to thank you and MJsPYT1, because you both got what I was talking about in my post.

After I had posted and left the Internet I thought I should have said "alive and fresh"...well, MJsPYT1 took up my slack.:D Thanks.:)
