John Branca - There will be no History 30th, we have Broadway show right now and a major movie coming.

estate excuses:

- there will be no dangerous 25 we have Off the wall documentary right now
- there will be no history 25 we have corona right now
- there will be no dangerous 30 we still have corona.
- there will be no history 30 we have the musical/biopic right now

other estates:

- yeah just because we have a release going on doesn't mean we cannot have other releases in the same year...

does the estate really believe if they now put out an album or something people are so brainless to be completely distracted from the biopic and forget about it?

I think bringing out new material after the Biopic is what makes sense the most, bcs the audience will grow. That's why I guess our petition might have a very small chance, at least concerning remastering material that people will be searching for.

And maybe after that, they tend to bring out some new stuff, too because there are more potential buyers out there.

Maybe, maybe - just looking at all of it out of $ - perspective because that will be the best argument...sadly.

That is assuming that the biopic is well received - that is far from a guarantee.

I wouldn't say we need new material and/or remastering of existing material because it's boring, but to keep everything up to date. Over the years the quality will appear worse and worse and people will be less interested.

When you have an active fanbase that is excited for new stuff to come, it is more likely they will stay.
The general public is not interested in unreleased tracks or new albums by older artists. There's veteran artists still alive who record and release new albums and it gets little attention (Paul McCartney, Madonna, Dolly Parton, Rolling Stones, etc.). The Beatles still sell more than Paul's & Ringo's newer stuff. These veteran acts make money on tour mostly performing their old hits, not really their new material. Al Green & Stevie Wonder have recently released new songs. Probably most people are not aware the songs even exist. But the public still listen to their oldies which some are still played on the radio & used in TV shows, movies, commercials or covered by artists today.

Notice the most popular songs released after Mike's passing had a current hot artist on them (Justin Timberlake, Drake). Same for Paul McCartney with the song he did with Rihanna & Kanye West. Going all the way back to the Supernatural album by Santana and those duets albums by Ray Charles & Frank Sinatra in the 1990s and Natalie Cole overdubbing her voice on her father Nat's old songs. It's the fans of the current artists that were primarily supporting this material, not the older fans so much. Without Justin Timberlake, Love Never Felt So Good was less likely to get the same amount of radio airplay. Even if Mike had still been alive, he was too old for pop radio airplay (in the USA) when that was released. Top 40 has always been primarily marketed to teens & young adults who don't want to listen to their parents or grandparents artists.

I am very disgusted with estate they could have at least re-released it as vinyl for history30

Why there are so many delays?! I wanna watch Michael and play GTA6 and RE9. If they all will be delayed to 2026, my life is broken 💔
The only 2 things I was looking forward to last year.... BOTH get delayed.... like stop playing with my life! Bad enough tito won't get to see the movie. I gotta try to stay alive until next year now (sigh) lol

HIStory 25 at 2020 with Money as a promo single would have been a great answer to a LN that came out at 2019.
Wade Robson and James Safechuck stated that they did not want to get money from HBO (the production company of the 'Leaving Neverland' documentary).

For example:

"There was no money ever offered [to us], and we never expected anything. This was really just trying to tell the story and shine a light on it the same way knowing Wade [Robson] went through it" (James Safechuck)

Director Dan Reed also stated that HBO indeed did not compensate these 2 men for their participation in that documentary.

That's a better argument and definitely what I agree with.

Yes, they definitely didn't want money 😂 😂
