Love Is Magical Is In The HOT SEAT!

:hiya:

I haven't visited my own hot seat a while. Let's bump it.

Do you have long or short hair?

I have long hair. My hair can almost reaches my waist now.

Have you ever dyed your hair?

Yes, I have colored my hair to cover my gray hair. Unfortunately, I started having gray hair in my late 20's. It's hereditary. Both my mom and my maternal grandma started having gray hair in their early 30's.

What is something about you r history that makes you proud to be who you are culturally?

Living in New York definitely helps me to appreciate different cultures. Being a Michael Jackson fan helps me to be more considerate. I don't focus on the difference among people. Instead, I focus on the uniqueness in different cultures.

WHta do you miss the most about Hong Kong. Besidea friends and family?

The ultra-modern and convenient public transit system. Lol...

The mass transportation system in Hong Kong is so well planned that the underground train can take you to almost every corner of the city. It's fast. It's on-time. It's comfortable. It's wirless network enabled.

How often do you visit?

I used to visit more frequently, like every summer. Now, since I'm working and don't have that many vacation days, I try not to take a 3-week vacation every year. So, I visit HK every 3 years on average.

When was the last time you went back to visit?

December 2009 for my friend's wedding.

What memory from Hong Kong will you always cherish?

My chilhood. My days in elementary school and middle school.

Do you want to stay permanetly in NY?

Yes, I do. I actually live in Jersey City, NJ, now. JC is just across the Hudson River. Since I grew up in a city and have always lived in a city, I don't know if I can adapt to a more sub-urban area.

Have you ever heard of the teaching fellow program?

I think I do. But, I don't know much about teaching fellow program.

:wild:

Hey.... and Times Square?

You're a good skater? :fear:

My office is just two blocks away from Times Square. So, I can see it from my office window. :punk:

I can skate, but I'm not a good skater. I get worse with times. The older I get, the less gutsy I become. I've lost the "I'm-not-afraid-of-falling-down-attitude". :fear:

Working in a such lively neighborhood can be quite inconvenient too. First, it's difficult to find a cheap place for lunch. Second, it's just too crowded most of the times. Third, if I'm very busy at work, I become jealous of the tourists on the streets.

I never had any serious accident from skating. I fractured my ankle once (I slipped on the street after too many drinks. :fear: ) It took months for my ankle to heal. I had cast on for at least a month. It's not a pleasant experience. Ever since then, I avoid sports like skating or skiing. I don't want to break any bone. :mello:

Skiing? Have you been skiing? This should be amazing. :wild: You really like radical sports. :wild: :fear:

Hmm... is yoga considered sports? I guess not...

I think it's a sport. Or not?

You could do this?

I'd love to learn cycling. Nope... I don't know how to ride a bike. :fear:

That's a shame... :sigh:  But you're not alone :fear: ... I also do not know cycling.
