Account A-7713/46664 now renamed to No_body at her request

This member had a previous account under thier IP and deleted all of their posts

Now she is asking for this account to be deleted which I told her we dont delete accounts. Now I could either ban or remove her ability to post - I prefer the latter and have done that so that she doesnt delete all her posts again as she is threatening to do once again. I prefer to do it this way. I dont want members to question why she would be banned as all her posts are positive for the most part.

She changed her name several times Shabby Shabu .. and then to A-7713/46664
I changed her name to No-Body as she asked below. Now She is threatening to edit/delete all her posts again. So placed her account as guest and changed her password so she no longer has access to the account in order to protect the integrity of her threads and post from her deleting them.

I dont know what else to do in this case .. but she is on my last nerve with this nonsense. She always Pms me with these mysterious requests. I dont want her deleting all her posts again and ruin the integrity of the threads ..

as of now she no longer has access to her account and she can just disapear now as she wanted as far as Im concerned - There is nothing more we can do for her. goodbye No_body ... no hard feelings

Hi there and happy new year.

We were talkin' at the end of September last year about the option to delete an account. You told me it was permanent and irreversible. That suits me just foiine.

If i could disappear (kinda like Michael in RTT or Ghosts, desintegrate and leave no trace of my decade-long stop over here) as if i never was around to begin with, it would be awesome. If not, then i guess i'll have to work my way around that.

Do let me know when you can do this. The sooner, the better. I would need a day/two for notice so i can still save some stuff.

We can not delete accounts as per the rules. Reason being if any threads you created were deleted that would delete any members posts who also posted in that thread. It also would cause threads to not make sense if members were replying or feeding of any of your comments. We save all threads and post for our archives for Michael's Legacy . They are historical.

What was your reason for being here and posting if you just want everything removed ?

Do you want to remove your membership _ I can do that so you no longer have access and can't post.

Thanks for your prompt response, as always. I can very well understand your motivation for not deleting accounts, but i must say that i find it a bit strange you weren't aware of such rules back in late September 2012.

I can understand that deleting one particular account might mess up comments from other people, FAIR ENOUGH.

I don't suppose there is a way to have access to all 1496 of my posts so i can edit them out completely. I'm sure part of them belong to threads which already are closed and belong in the 'historical' section. I guess i'll have to take care of the 452 which show up in the 'latest posts' section of my account.

As for your question of why being here and post and then ask for my account to be deleted i can only answer back with another question - aren't we allowed to change our minds? Isn't that the very reason and foundation of the EDIT function??? Since deleting the account isn't obviously possible i WILL use that particular function to its full extent.

For the ten years that i have been a part of your community i have shared whatever irrelevant things from my life, world view and other thoughts with you guys and whatever small portion of the 'world' that might have read them.

There are very few things in this world i truly can claim as my own. My words and my thoughts, all the pain, the effort and the energy put in them over all these years are some of those few things i can truly call MINE. It is now time for me to take all of those back.

Thanks for your offer, but removing my membership won't solve anything. I still need it in order to edit out the stuff that i can. After that i will simply disappear by not posting anything anymore.

I would have one final favor to ask though - i know i have already changed my username more than once and the new rules don't allow any further changes, but i would truly appreciate it if you could do me this LAST FAVOR and change my username to NoBody, spelled just like that with the capital N and B.

Many thanks for the username change, but the 'guest' status doesn't allow me to edit my posts, which, as i already explained, is THE MOST IMPORTANT thing for me right now.

Please revert my membership back to usual member so i can edit my posts. After i am done with that, you are more than welcome to give me the 'guest' status once and for all.

Alina Sorry you no longer wish to be here .. but we cant not allow you to destroy the integrity of the threads on MJJC by editing or deleting all your posts as you did prior with you last account. If You no longer wish to be here thats fine go in peace. Your membership will be removed now ( Set to Guest status) and you will no longer have access to log in. No hard feelings and All the best
