That is indeed very interesting!! Many of us have been thinking in that direction anyway, but it would indeed be the first biopic to be made in two parts if I´m not mistaken.

I wonder what the total budget will be...

Plus, heavy digital treatment and prosthetics most likely means that the pictures that we have seen of Jafaar are not very representative. Meaning he will look more like Michael in the final version, no?

The Chandlers and their accusations should appear in the film because they are part of Michael's art and therefore inextricably interwoven with him. If you were to change that, it would be a falsification of HIStory.

Exactly, the estate is multi billion dollars if those bastards at HBO can breach a contract to lynch Michael with that hit piece in 2019 then surely they can potentially take a hit to expose those lying frauds and their pathetic dad who killed himself after Michael died

We’ve gone from having zero information to loads (all negative) in the space of a week.

I’m starting to think that it could be all media BS and done on purpose to get people talking and then boom…. This phenomenal trailer gets released at the Superbowl.

Although if they are truly going all the way up to 2009 a two part film makes complete sense. Part 2 would be so ****** tragic though 😞

They could just cut out the bloat for the theatrical cut and have a separate streaming cut, Blade Runner did that, Apocalypse Now, Lawrence of Arabia i think did that. Lots of classics had multiple cuts, although we also have Gone with the Wind the highest grossing film ever which is 4 hours long.

Theoretically the movie could be 4 hours long with multiple intermissions / IE: Popcorn breaks.

I have a background as Photo Retoucher and although I didn't experiment on a photo of Jaafar myself, I can imagine that in order to make the nose acceptable, they will have to adjust other features too (interested in your view on that)

Millions would still be a ridiculous amount though

I mean it's expensive, but it's all usually part of the budget. They know the time they need to make it happen. Now if there is a problem or delays , the post production company usually is responsible. That said, they don't charge any more unless the Production asks for further adjustments they didn't agree to at the first place.

The article says that the director decided to direct from his van because of the family pressure on set. So only Prince could have done something and let's face it, that's not true.

Also, the first article said that any reshoots or over budget necessities would have to be paid by the Estate, now this new one is saying that Lionsgate is thinking about a two-part movie because of the additional costs. It has to be one or the other, can't be both.

So yeah, I don't buy any of this. When any of this info gets out on Variety or Deadline, then I'll start believing...
